When the news of a theft in the Trottingham Vaults reaches the ear of the Princess of Sunlight she is forced to send her protege to investigate and seek out the thieves: a radical group from a neighboring kingdom calling themselves the Star Killers. Can her young apprentice find the artifice before it's put to use? Or will her fear of the world beyond the palace walls bring her quest to a premature end?

Twilight sits in for a session of the Court of Dawn to learn how to run her own court when the time comes, but is thrust into a terrifying and unfamiliar situation. An assassination attempt is made against her mentor, a well kept secret about the solar matriarch is brought to light, and someone may very well lose an eye.

Or not.

Celestia reluctantly accepts the invitation to take a brief vacation, and leaves the sun to Luna's care. What the lunar princess does with the responsibility is anything but responsible, and leaves her with the task of policing the timeline on her own. The result is tragic, but does create some entertaining possibilities.

Harry the bear gives Fluttershy a fish as a thank you gift for helping him with his broken arm, and is insistent upon her eating it before it spoils. When Fluttershy reluctantly complies, she's forced to face a dark and disturbing revelation.

She loves it.

Twilight had an itch. A painful itch. An itch that kept her up at night in agony. An itch that made her waking moments torturous. With each passing second, she could feel that itch wearing down her force of will and distracting her from her duties as the princess of magic. It was an itch she needed to deal with, badly, but it was an itch with which she had no experience herself. An itch she would need help soothing. An itch that only one or two of her closest friends could be trusted to deal with in confidence.

When a pony named Ganja comes into Sugarcube Corner, Pinkie Pie is pulled into an ethical dilemma: should she turn her back on the somewhat strange mare, or give her the benefit of the doubt and show her the kindness that her friends so quickly withhold.
