As the clouds of war loom on the horizon, Daring Do embarks on a desperate mission to retrieve the Crown of the Changelings. An ancient artifact used by the queens of old to establish absolute dominion over their subjects, the plucky pegasus cannot stand to see it fall into Chrysalis' hooves. And considering the queen's recent warmongering maneuvers, the safety of Equestria could very well depend on her mission...

This is a story set in the universe of Equestria at War, after the changeling conquest of Olenia and before the attack on Equestria. It was written for the Equestria at War writing contest.

When danger threatens Equestria, six ponies rise to meet it. No matter where it comes from or how terrible and mighty it is, the power of their friendship will always prevail. For when friends stand together, especially Twilight and her friends, nothing can stand before them. As long as they remain united, no monster, pony, or god can defeat them.

Not even Princess Celestia.

Through the power of friendship, any threat can be defeated. The inhabitants of Ponyville know this first-hand. They have seen Princess Twilight and her friends face down threats that nopony thought existed. The six of them in turn can always rely on the goodwill and cheer of their Ponyville friends and fans.

However, the plucky population of Ponyville faces its greatest threat yet. One of apocalyptic proportions. One that will need everypony's (and maybe even Discord's) help to defeat.
