Question, if the Timber Wolves are made of wood, why would they have a wet nose?

Don't get me wrong. I think the story was very well done. I just think you could've been more creative with your descriptions of the timber wolves.

My critique is mainly in reference to the first half of the story. I personally thought the ending was superb. You used the Timber Wolves unique physiology to its full extend during the climax. I just think that the first half was a little mundane. I mean, when the three wolves appeared, they may as well have been wearing different shirts labeled vag, oral and anal. From the moment they entered the picture, I knew how things would play out. The three wolves take Fluttershy one at a time, while those who are currently not boning her stand around and wait their turn as though they were enemies in an Assassin's Creed game.

Some parts of the story felt rushed. For example, when Fluttershy stumbles upon the Timber wolves mating ritual, that seems like it warranted further elaboration, but instead of a unique scene, the timber wolves sex is described pretty similarly to regular animal sex.

What I would've liked to have is a scene where Fluttershy voyeuristically watches the wolves for a while. The female wolf could have roots come out of her paws and dig into the earth.

"When timber wolves mate, the female buries her roots deep into the soil to absorb enough nutrients for her future babies." Fluttershy thought.

Or something like that.

I hope you don't think I'm picking on the story. I think this premise is really solid. It was well executed, for the most part. I'd just keep working on the creative and unique descriptors for your next story.
