Their minds right now are in torture. Though I imagine it would be better to tell their families and for them to give THEIR opinions FIRST on the subject. Even if it means leaving her in agony for the time being. So yeah, but tell the family first!

If the golems feel nothing, would it just be their thoughts and memories, but would it still be them?

Though I imagine the three minds want to be separated. The question is if being in the golems would be "living!"

The question is, what do the CMC want though?

Though it might be better if we read the mental fusion from their POV.

But from a realistic point of view, they should try to communicate with the CMC and see what THEY want.

Though the question is why the lantern didn't work, and what effects its lingering magic might have along the line.

Actually, by unfeeling i meant they can't physically feel.

On a more pragmatic note, the girls trying to live two lives is going to only end in misery. And Celestia asked the girls to honor the legacies of the ponies they were created from... but shouldn't they also be allowed to live their own lives?

Option 4) Twinkle suggests sending them through the trans-dimensional mirror to Sunset's world, where they'll be dismantled into three separate beings once again, because their counterparts are still separate, and the mirror will interpret that the alicorn needs to be three beings instead of one to incorporate them into the human world. Then, they simply step back through the portal again and come back as three separate fillies (trans-dimensional pizza parties with their counterparts may be needed to facilitate their return...can't do it on an empty stomach, ya know 😉).

Twinkle realizes that this may be a solution for them as well, but they need to stay in their combined forms for now to try and stop Dusk, as they're more powerful and immune to subjugation spells in their combined forms.

There’s another potential option… place her/them into an enchanted sleep where their minds will peacefully slumber until a solution to restore them all to their normal, separate selves is found

The question is if they CMC themselves can reach a consensus on becoming one being or not.

And the question if being in this state will slowly drive them more insane.
