Dear Diary, I have decided to write my thoughts and experiences under The Storm King in order to one day publish my words as a memoir, teaching others a first-hand look at what serving in The Storm King's army was like.
My Name is Jason and I have been chosen by the Storm King himself to lead a small group of ships on a most important mission.
When news first arrived to me of my appointment to the role of captain, I was astounded and joyful both at once.
It seems the king has taken notice of my efforts to lead during the partially successful mission of clearing The Hyena's bandit camp.
It was during that mission that I stepped forward and took charge when the commander appointed by Lord Strife sat behind with nary a plan to proceed other than wait for nightfall and attack then.
Does he not know that a king of The Storm King's caliber should not be made to wait?
Nevertheless, I was ecstatic when His Majesty appointed me as the captain of the mission.
One that required that the three ships under my command be taken to a large and dangerous swamp to find and acquire a magical artifact that was once used by an Afcari Warrior King.
His Majesty even gave the company under me a unique and exotic code name.
The Argonauts.
When I asked what the name meant he simply smiled and crinkled his brow as if lost in fond memories.
Truly, His Thunderous Majesty is the wisest of all Kings, He must expect me to arrive at the conclusion of what the meaning of the name is by myself. So high is the expectation of His Majesty that his people will learn for themselves rather than scrap for crumbs of wisdom from him.
Like a father taking care of his Children.
Truly, No Ruler would ever match the Majesty, Kindness, and Wisdom of The Storm King.
The Army is setting sail once more tomorrow at noon, The Argonauts under my command will split from the main body of the fleet together with seven other ships, whose goals are to include independent tribes into The Storm Kingdom, growing His Majesty's sphere of influence upon the people of the continent of Afcari.
I will write another page once we will leave the town of hedgehogs we are situated in as of the moment.
All Hail The Storm King.
i think you mean king here

Thanks, I fixed it :)
A little different but still enjoyable.
I do like the idea of the Storm King actually having a legitimate reason for wanting to take over the world (I mean even before the storm king spent the money their economy was practically in shambles and all that so giving the dude a good reason for wanting to help his people well in this case the person who took over the storm King's body wanting to help them but he still had a legitimate reason for wanting to take over the world back when it was OSK)

Oh the economy is in shambles.
They have no gold, no food, no stable income, and nearly one thousand airships of different sizes.
There are only two things to do in that situation.
Use the fleet of airships to take over the world.
And become so incredibly famous and important you become remembered centuries after your death.
The second option isn't as important.
So let's get to fixing the econo- I MEAN TAKING OVER THE WORLD!!
Wonder if he will get lucky enough to get a Heracles.

And then he'll get Medea, Atalanta, Castor and Pollux, Asclepius, Caenis, and the forty other members of the Argonauts.
I have a feeling that Harmony would be conflicted upon seeing what supposed to be a tyrant, instead it get to see a benevolent and competent ruler with an Ideology of "Join and thrive or Refuse and become history".
This conflict is reinforced with the consequences.
When a Villains usually met its end, everybody is thankful because everyone will start to suffer less.
In the Storm Kings case it would cause more suffering due to him being the uniting factor/ peacemaker of an entire continent, who surely after his demise will suffer the consequence.
Be it Minor like economy resetting thus causing famine and homelessness
or
Major like Civil War, War for the Throne, Revolution, Corruption and Rampant Banditry.
Now that I think more of It, all of these events can play major part for a larger catastrophe.
I'm having some of the Storm Creatures in the army see The Storm King similar to how the NPCs of Ainz-Ool-Gown see Momonga in Overlord.
So does that mean tempest is going to end up being elbedo

I'm definitely going for an Overlord or Eminence in Shadow sort of look for how the less plot-important people view The Storm King.
But, Tempest is an existing character, and being an "Albedo" isn't in her character, it's just not something I can see her doing.
So no, Fizzlepop isn't going to end up Albedo.

I fucking knew it! The ENTIRE time I was reading this I just have that feeling on the back of my mind. "Hey, this guy's a lot like Ainz sama!" As a person who absolutely LOVES Overlord and the whole "Shit I gotta act evil but I also gotta try to not fuck up the entire world" mentality, seeing it as a baseline for how the side characters are gonna act brings me great joy.
Only difference though is that the Storm King is far more competent than Ainz is. Ainz just bumbles along doing what his Demon subordinate says his plan is

Instead of listening to his subordinates, The Storm King bumbles along listening to what he thinks the Storm King would have done if he was maybe 20% less evil.
Still doesn't know what the fuck is going on.
To be fair he is not a God tier Litch with brainwashed minions.
