That threw me for a loop for a second. When you started describing the light around her, I thought she was turning into a reformed changeling.

Maybe she did in her own way? She is a pony at heart and in mind, and changelings can become anything so . . .
Well. We'll see what happens next.
Well lets go to family R Us and pick one up. I hope they are on sale. Also done, lol
You know, leading up to this chapter, I was thinking that part of Sweetie's problem was that getting her form back was that she didn't feel like herself anymore. Whether that means she knows how to transform or not is still debatable. But it's likely a step in the right direction.
Likewise, when Slow Poke mentioned how he was doing what he has been doing all along but was satisfied, I knew that the reason he felt satisfied now was because he wasn't doing it alone. I originally thought the final conclusion is that what he did would be more fulfilling with friends. But the family angle does make sense, especially considering how the Apple family were probably treating him like family as well.
And now Slow Poke has a story to tell his future kids.
I don't know if Sweetie Belle became a reformed changeling or not. If not, it makes sense seeing as that's not her body, so she probably wouldn't have as much say in ho what works. If so... I can only imagine the tirade the changeling that the body belongs to would have about her doing something to his body like that and how he's become one of those "pansey" changelings.

That made me laugh for some reason, especially the last two words above.
But, yeah. Given what is learned about the host changeling clone, it is very unlikely that he has much respect for the reformed changelings despite their advantages, or rather lack of a disadvantage like starving all the time. The Ghosts are all about serious business and being mission-oriented. With training and standards that high and strict, there's just no room to relax and have fun.
At least, not yet anyway.
There's a curious synergy here between this story and this chapter in particular. By helping to solve Slow Poke's problem, Sweetie was able to solve her own because helping others find their true destiny is part of her destiny. It can help to get a reminder of that sometimes. And Slow Poke, the wise old salt of the earth, had a very grounded and mature perspective to evoke an epiphany for Sweetie Belle, and about darn time too! The story needed to move forward and that means not to keep rehashing old lessons. Once they are learned, it's time to move on.
Meanwhile in the clubhouse: "Where is that Donkey? Doesn't he know it's rude to keep others waiting?"

He's being a Slow Poke in showing up.
