Now we just wait for the next update.
Glad to have an update. Hope you're coping well during these tough and chaotic times, especially with election time, Major! I've heard a lot of pandemonium occurring right now there in the US, so hope you and your family keep safe and healthy!
Great way to start the chapter - by having a radio broadcast. Nice touch.
Interesting path we've taken here, what will Wingfried's involvement in the greater story be, I wonder? Never having played that submod for EaW, I am intruiged for how this all pans out. Also quite interested with Cyril and co's new assignment in the elite panzer division. Hopefully his metallic wing replacement won't give him problems in the future, but time can only tell...
I'm frankly quite surprised at the pace at which the Changelings are seemingly creaming the Equestrians. The Lunar Fleet already gone? That's a pretty serious blow, especially to morale I imagine. The dogfight wasn't as intense as, say, the ground battles as we've seen previous but it was still nice for a change, to get to see an insight on the atmosphere, the environment within a bomber plane played out in the present.
The great war on the Equestrian continent has only just begun. More carnage and bloodshed is to follow. And it already looks grim for the Equestrian coalition, having to reach out to the communists...
The tension in the combat feels very real. Very intense.
This was a nice return to form. Not going to lie, the changeling chapter felt a little undercooked, and, remarkably for all the lore ive never heard before, the first time the story felt info dumpy. But this chapter i couldnt put down. Finally seeing how the relationship with the uncle plays out was really interesting. Working relationships with family can easily lead to stepping over the line, even after a long time together.
Here it was interesting to hear someone talk ideology without reservation. He is clearly trying to convince him, but only with his earnestness and passion. This is actually the least manipulative political actor in the story, for better or worse.
