Yes, it is YOUR fault because you are the only one who knew about the flower and yet kept your trap shut. Was it so hard to tell about it? Was it so hard to ask Twilight about it and Zecora's warning? At least she'd knew the reason of their misery.
Uh, ye, like 3/4 of it and not for this reason.
Feynna, why you gave your own character the idiot ball? There was no reason to follow the script of the original episode when one of the characters already knew the cause of the issue.

Well... I suppose that idiot ball should go to me, then. I mean, Twilight should have figured it out with that big noggin' of hers easily in the show, but didn't... though, that sounds more like an excuse on my part, doesn't it? I'm sorry, perhaps it goes to show how short-sighted I can be at times when I didn't even think of having Sol/Lux talk some more sense into Twilight instead of having them concentrate so much on trying to get her to believe curses might be a thing... This oversight is my own folly, though, but it's not like it is such a big deal that I have to go and rewrite it. Perhaps I'm just too lazy, but I also think the episode might have gone on like it did merely for the reason that Applebloom went behind their backs to go and talk with Zecora again. I appreciate the criticism, though :)
Good chapter, poison joke is always fun to see what happens to an OC and if it existed I would want to see what it did to me and then probably do science to see if it does the same thing every time.
Also, I will also bring snacks and beverages for when Celi and Lulu have the revelation of Solus being their sibling(s) and being the reincarnation of Moonlight and Sunfire with the possibility of an outside soul used to bind them together.

Addendum: I know it won’t happen but I just though of the idea of Solus going into their equivalent of the Avatar State and doing fighting and magic that only Sunfire and Moonlight knew.
I knew it. I totally knew it. The question is, how did they become one entity? I have a feeling that an even sadder story is behind that one....
10410754
Oh, I know what you mean. I had quite the fun with this one, too. Normally, when other people make their human OC's turn into ponies because of poison joke, it's just something show-related. I just thought... if Spectrum is now their mother by all rights, it would make sense they would turn into ponies, right?
I do like where you are going with that thought process, I'd like to know what would happen to myself... but sadly, poison joke is only a fictional flower (unless someone does manage to rip open a portal to other dimensions and proves the multiverse theory once and for all, mwahaha!).
10410771
I... uh... I'm a bit confused. You knew what? The thing with Spectrum? I didn't think I made it that hard to figure out, sort of obvious, really... but I have been wrong about a lot of things, recently...
10410810
Nah, the reincarnation.
You ok?

Well, Twi has a chance to figure that out in the show and she is smart, but believing in superstitions isn't her thing, so discarding that book on the name basis alone considering her annoyance of the topic at the moment wasn't really surprising even though too hastily done... To the point of reading only first word. Yes, that annoyed. But that's something that happens in the real life all the time, so nothing really wrong here. Of course Zecora pointed at the exact problem for them, but she haven't paid enough attention at that moment and hadn't had much if any experience with or knowledge of chaotic magic at that point. So, not making connection between wide range of absurd afflictions which befell on her and her friends and "Those leaves of blue are not a joke!" is not really surprising. And even if she had a suspicion and looked for plants she fumbled her only chance to figure that out.
Please, in the future either don't give your character any extra knowledge or let him act upon it and derail actual stupidity in the show. It just was so maddening watch him see and hear everyone around making wrong conclusions, know the actual source of the problem and do absolutely nothing if not worse. Would he be ignorant of the problem his attempts to tell Twi that curses might be a real thing would at least make sense. It's Equestria we are talking about after all. However, knowing that it isn't a curse for sure from two distinct sources and still talking about curses?
Sorry about this rant, it's just every time I think about this it's... flaming Celestia's tits, it's still maddening.

Nah, this one was like large neon light on the wall right when you mentioned them. Of course it could be a distraction up until now and it's still not clear why two souls became one, but there could be many reasons for that and there wasn't any contradictory evidence so far to facilitate the distraction.

All things considered, I'm okay. Happy that the corona crap hasn't gotten to me (yet, one may never know), but there are a few things that weigh me down a little bit. Concern for the future (but who doesn't have that?) and concern for my writing habits. I have been in a rut lately and it's really hard getting out of it. While I still have a few chapters for this story that are already written out, the current chapter (Chapter 19) has made little to no progress over the past few months... Maybe I have lost my interest in it or I just have more fun writing my other story, but I'm not giving up on this one yet. I mean, if I really have to, I could brute force my way into writing it, but I'd rather feel motivated to do so. Not that I haven't been stumped about how to continue with my other story, either...
Ah... the worries of a hobby author...
10411989
I understand and I do feel sorry for letting this slip through that it bothers you that much. I just... don't think it is that grave of a mistake. I can't say for certain what my thoughts had been while writing this, it has been a while since this chapter had been written and while editing it a few days ago I didn't even consider that it would be a mistake on Sol/Lux part that they wouldn't bring it up again... so, yeah.
10412465
Oh, I never thought it's a grave mistake and of course it doesn't affect anything of importance to the main story. It's completely localized to this particular episode and in the worst case scenario Solus just have to say "I'm sorry" to Twi if she ever notice he knew. I probably paying to much attention to the details which doesn't add up and you have to royally screw up for me to dislike your story since so far it was nothing but great. It just like a road bump.
10413115
Well, I am at least glad to see such feedback. I can't promise I won't overlook such little things all the time, but I'll make an effort as best as I can :)
10412461
Ah, yeah, that's understandable. Take as much time with it as you need. There is no need to overwork yourself to provide for us. We can wait! ^c^
10414521
Eh, considering how many people already have asked me about my other story, some are a bit impatient :D
10414537
Kek. Still, we can wait, no matter how patiently.
Yeah, it's not entirely your fault, but it's still half your's half Zecora's fault, you had it all figured out but DIDN'T tell ANYONE and Zecora didn't warn them enough.
