Well, this was a fun ride. Although part me thinks exposing Anon-A-Miss right away would've been good, but airing everyone's dirty laundry is meant to prove a point: that everyone has done terrible things so they really can't stand on the moral high ground with everything they've done themselves. Personally, this resolves Anon-A-Miss and absolves Sunset, but we know a lot of people will be stupid. So, the Crusaders are all gonna be against each other now, with Sweetie Belle going in first. And the Rainbooms, minus Applejack, have earned Sunset's wrath. They are all doomed and really they brought this on themselves. Honestly, I dunno who Twilight will side with in this case and if the school can survive.
Was hoping for Rainbow's reaction, but she's obviously speechless now.
HAH! That bit with So.Nata.Pony reminded me of this from my favorite game from last year.
Oh those CMC are getting what is coming to them as I am sure is the rest of the school soon. Cannot wait.
I just have to ask. Well two things:
1. Can Pinkie and Fluttershy be redeemed? They suffered just as bad as AJ and I'm pretty sure our favorite AI pony can find some dirt on their families and good things on them.
2. Where's Twilight in all of this? When she finds out about Anon-a-miss yeah she'll be upset. But if she found out about Kijo and Sunset being a part of it? Could someone please find a gif of Twilight turning fire pony just to explain that reaction?
8696962
By Sunset being apart of Kijo she put away child molester, got corrupt education officials fired, 2 gangs who rape, murder and more taken down, and more. I doubt she will be that mad. Especially with the corrupt education officials.
8696965
But think about all the students harmed by Kijo. Just think she'll be mad at the CMC for what they did but when she finds their historys I wouldn't ve suprised if she felt sorry for them.
Also how long before you think Applebloom bites the bullet?
8696976
Name anyone Besides Gilda who was harmed physically by this or didn't have the reputation patched up by damage control secrets afterwards... NOT counting the Humane 5 besides Applejack. And the fight at Sugar Cube Corner doesn't count as they brought what happened to them upon themselves.
Well isn't there any dirt on Spoiled Rich that the CMC could dig up and expose, though if I was Scootaloo I would get home, grab what I could stuff into a travel back and get the hell out of Canterlot City while the getting was good, leave Sweetie-Bell and Applebloom to what would happen with them, after all Bloom has an Aunt in the Government and Sweetie-belle took off out of the of the school there at the end, my guess is she's going to the cops and spill everything to them, of course she might mention the black mail that Diamond Tiara was trying to pull on her and her friends there back at the school.
8696996
Their father's still have more than enough money to get them only a slap on the wrist.
8696985
You got me on that one. I was gonna say Fluttershy with the dog video and mayne Pinkie pie for some reason I forgot. Did Celestia and Luna have backups or no? Cause I'm pretty sure just getting drunk or being a porn star from the 90s isn't enough to lose your job.
m-m-mmmm that was GOOD! That's how Justice is done when there is no other option, complete scorched earth. The perfect ending to the build-up, now to enjoy that sweet dessert called Aftermath.
I'm really hoping the next chapter has Rainbow's reaction to the truth please.
Well. I'm glad that at least AJ has a shot with Sunset. She is one of my top faves.
Well CMC, let's see how you can deal with this little hole you dug ourselves into.
8696999
That secret being leaked was more to keep them occupied than an outright attack if I remember right.
8697021
Then is it a rep hurter or is it not? Cause the dog thing with Shy was a clear hurt that could have drastic effects (not to meantion if the truth on Zephers insanity came out). And Pinkie has those mental problems and her family solves it by old fashion corporal punishment. I ain't that well with mental problems but wouldn't abuse (even if it's legal somehow) just make it worse?
8697044
The thing with Luna, as well as Nurse Redheart and Iron Will is nothing anyone can do anything about as while what the latter two did was nasty, it was between two consenting adults and thus no one can do anything about it, same with how Luna chose to pay her way through college. The remaining clean School Board Members have no desire to get rid of them as everything they did was legal and the PTA can't do anything about it either without hefty legal fee's on a losing battle. So yes, while those were reputation hurters, they were, in the grand scheme of things, harmless.
As for Pinkie, it wasn't for any mental issues she was punished, it was for attacking someone at her place of work and for nearly causing her family legal trouble they couldn't afford when they are trying to keep one of their daughters alive. And Fluttershy should damn well know better than to be fucking a dog.
8697074
Amen to that
In a stereotypical pirate voice, ‘Twas a tale of woe an’ joy, fer the tides’ve turned, and the Dazzlin’s reformed. Aye, fer I hope fer th’ Dazzlin’s, an’ Sunset, t’ regain ther’ powers, livin’ ‘till the end of days as best o’ chums. Pirate voice ends, I also have no problems with alicorn Sunset.
And like that...
You can serve me a lovely helping of Chicken Karma-San

Actually it would likely be sweetie against sctoloo since appleblome has family to help her but sweetie and scotoolo dont and sweetie went with the deal
"Flawless victory,brutally"
Prisoner’s dilemma to the crusaders. Harsh.
Prisoner's dilemma indeed, and we already see that they were truly no better friends to each other than the five were to Sunset.
Justices rains from above at last. Let the Crusaders's punishment begin.
Honestly, I liked the idea of Sunset fighting back and beating Anon-A-Miss at her own game, but this entire things went so... cartoonishly out of proportion, I guess I would call it. It just doesn't feel any of this has anything left to do, with the friendship drama that Anon-A-Miss was supposed to be about.
I get that it's called Nuclear Option and it certainly feels like it's got the scope of a city buster, but everything feels so overblown. Everyone has ridiculously terrible secrets and sex tapes lying around. The Sirens are even more monstrous than in the movie, yet somehow supposed to be sympathetic, because they help Sunset. Sunset goes full blown vigillante with this Kijo thing, but just to get back at Anon-A-Miss and not because she actually cares.
I can't really bring myself to cheer for Sunset's victories, because the whole thing feels so incredibly put on.
My sympathies are more with the Rainbooms here, except Rainbow Dash.
Shunning Sunset was a dick move, but given their history together, it is at least understandable, why they would overreact like this in the first place.
That that somehow makes them irredeemable, when all the shit Sunset pulled, didn't make her, is just weird to me. She is pretty much acting exactly like the people, who told her to go die in a ditch for being a she-demon, when what they did was almost miniscule by comparison.
That doesn't make it any less painful for her, but it doesn't explain why they'd not deserve a shot at redemption either.
It's not like she ever considered being in the wrong, until she was brainswashed by the Elements into regretting everything she did either.
Bottom line being that they are all assholes and she doesn't really have high ground to stand on.
It feels like very Protagonist Centered Morality and I don't like that.
I don't know if this comment makes any sense, but I have a hard time putting into words, just what bothers me about this story.
Edit:
This line:
"They were kind enough to take care of me when I passed out in my own home after getting the shit beat out of me. They gave me the first real laugh I had since this whole mess started. And they were generous enough to let me into their own lives and help me with my problems."
Because that is exactly what the Rainbooms did for her too, despite having no reason to either. Were they as shiny and cool, as Sunset's new and better friends? No, but they were there for her, when she didn't deserve anything but a boot up her arse. And somehow that doesn't matter over a comparatively petty disagreement.
Kind of like how they treated each other, when she broke them appart.
Guess the Crusaders were a lot better at copying her, than I initally assumed
8697649
quite frankly some of your arguments make sense, yes it got a bit cartoony, but well the amount is excessive everyone has dark secrets hidden away and nothing ever leaves the internet.
the rest of your comment honestly rings like someone who's never been stabbed in the back hard by a close friend. rather you like it or not the rainbooms dug there own graves here on multiple counts and the resolution seems much more healthy then the comic brought out. to have no redemption would seem lacking, and to have sunset forgive them in the end would have been unrealistic, she may forgive them in time but trust well never regrow.
on the contrary to what you said this is actual karma, what happened in the comic was protagonist centered morality.
hoping there is one more part to this, want to see twilight react to the group yet, and tell them they broke there connection to the elements.
8698012
So Sunset can spent years bullying them and attempt to murder them and that's forgivable, but them not believing her the one time she is actually innocent is Complete Monster territory?
I get Dash not being forgiven, but the others were idiots at worst, who overreacted to the "stabbed in the back" feel you speak of.
Yes the comic was shit, but Sunset teaming up with the unrepentant, murderraping, city burning warlords, who would've enslaved her and her friends without flinching, if they had won, doesn't seem like a healthy resolution either.
I just can't take it seriously that the Rainbooms are supposed to be the worse people in this.
Spend a thousand years being a self serving menace on society and that's fine as long as you're nice to Sunset.
Be not nice to Sunset and you're the worst person ever, regardless of anything you've done for her previously.
That's kind of what I read in all of this.
8698139
sunset never once lied about who or what she was too them. when she was a bully she was obvious, when she was redeeming herself she was actually trying. honesty goes along way for a lot of things. forgiveness is taken by thoughts words and ACTIONS, sunset worked her butt off to gain it, so she's forgiven because she was genuine.
there was nothing genuine about rarity, pinkie, fluttershy or pinkie in this case. they verbally attacked and slandered there friend to the point of full on psychological abuse based on the flimsiest of evidence that would get most people laughed out of a courtroom. it took the smallest push to set them against her and even less to keep pushing them to worse and worse states, states proven by there actions. they didn't even entertain the passing notion they where wrong until it was put right in front of there faces. betrayal is the far worse crime in this case, no matter what religion/ideology you follow, treason and betrayal are considered amongst the worst of crimes one can commit.
as for your argument with the sirens, it's invalid, the clear message with them is they've done so much in there long lives bad and good that we as the readers can't take there pasts into account for this story. your augments about murder rape and pillaging? name a warlord and i guarantee they did that, many of them also set the ground work for concepts we use today, Genghis khan had religious freedom in his empire before most other nations even thought about the concept. (one ancient record noted there was a mosque next to a church next too a Jewish temple, all of these when his empire was based in china, and the mongols themselves practiced an entirely different faith as it was).
what this story is showing is 'the nuclear option' maybe you need to look up that definition again, it refers to the option where mass damage is had on all sides, it's meant to define the ultimate capability of someones destructive power. the rainbooms blamed sunset for something that would at best be hilariously beneath her old self, and she showed them her true capability with the help of the sirens.
i'm sorry if you dislike it and thats your right to do so, but it doesn't make the story wrong or legitimize your 'protagonist centered morality' comment.
8698394
She never lied, as far as we know. The exact extend of her actions as a bully, are never made clear in the story, or the show canon.
This isn't a courtroom though, its a bunch of dumb teenagers, having kneejerk overreactions to what they percieved and feared to be, Sunset going back to acting like the bully, that made their life hell for years and broke up their friendship, after lying to them about wanting to be a better person.
You talk about it, like it was some kind of coldblooded, calculated betrayal, made after careful consideration of the facts. It wasn't. It was dumb kids having a kneejerk overreaction, to what they percieved, as a return to their old trauma.
The story doesn't give any indication as to how bad Sunset's bullying towards them was, so I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt and assume that it was actually bad enough, to set them off like that.
They let hurt feelings get in the way of reason, until something slapped them in the face with reality. Hardly anything new to those characters. In fact, as far as I remember, them letting their feelings, get in the way of their reason, is what kicks off most of the conflicts in the aesop episodes. And unlike their counterparts they don't even have the benefit of four seasons of friendship lessons learned.
Is it betrayal? Yes, but it's betrayal born out of past trauma, rather than malice.
Maybe you've never been bullied extensively, but it's not the kind of thing, you just shake off in a couple months and it never bothers you again.
Not even the fact, that they just recently tried to enslave the entire world, and don't show any remorse for that either?
Does it make the Khan any less of a monster though? No. And neither does it make the Sirens, who gleefully sacrificed thousands and hurt millions, just to extend their own lives.
I well know what nuclear option means. And while Sunset sicking the Sirens on her enemies, is a nice analogy to the president pushing the proverbial big red button, I would've liked a more personal touch.
As for protagonist centered, they regret spilling about Trixie, not because it was a legitimately shitty thing to do to her, but because she was related to someone they knew.
Edit:
You know what, this is a stupid thing to argue with you about. I'm just letting this stand here, because I already went through the trouble of writing it all down. Forget about it.
Kind of confused about the first two going go with the first one is scootloo and the second is sweetie belle mostly because that theory is something i have heard
The other way around, as Kijo's first set of posts named Scootaloo's mother and why she lost parental rights. Blech.
8697014
My guess it will be total and complete denial and she will attack anyone who disagrees with her
SOOO like Rarity "Now that you are profitable again, I'll let you be my friend. Now carry my books."
Also giddy for the sequel

Because you two are arguing about me making Sunset a bully again I felt I should point out when her and the sirens took control of the school back it was different from last time. Snails said it best in the second chapter,
Anon-a-miss had already thrown the school into chaos and as Kijo they added more fuel to the fire until things were ready to come to a head and then they reasserted dominance and control, giving the school a real tangible apex predator instead of all the smoke and mirrors that a parasite like Anon-a-miss uses. All four of them were already going to be the bad girls of the school so they decide to damn well use it. Was it nice, no, but it worked because they filled the void Sunset left in the school's hierarchy. Only this time they are using it as a tool and bringing stability and order to the school, but only when they need to.
As for the argument over The Nuclear Option it is the most drastic or extreme response possible to a particular situation. It is the equivalent of tossing several hand grenades into your bedroom because you saw a spider, sure the spider is dead, but you also destroyed your bedroom to do it.
As for morality, people have killed each other over children's toys on Black Friday, in the past missionaries gave Native Americans plague blankets in the name of God, and there are thousands of other shitty reasons people have raped, robbed, tortured, enslaved, and murdered each other through out history. At the end of the day morality is what you can live with and even then you have to decide if you want the clean truth or the dark dirty truth. Take steak, the clean truth is it taste good and the dirty truth is knowing it had a happy life until it was brutally slaughtered in a dirty slaughter house so you could eat.
Now if you two are done, I'm going to get back to writing the epilogue and plotting out the sequel.
Now that the truth is out and this will be continued I can really feel my blood pumping for more.
I just realized this song fit this story very well

That didn't really address anything, we were arguing about, any of the points I made, nor any of the problems I actually had with the story, but whatever, just get on with it.
Anything on sunbutt? I know it's not the one I hate but still
8699164
I agree considering what different people think is indecent in clothing. Schools in America would say showing the fact you are a girl is indecent although it is like pulling teeth with a hammer to get them to admit it. Some countries would say showing any skin is indecent. It is all about your point of view.
