lol Incredible chapter.^^
You...are a BADASS
yet at the same time I want to shove a reality bomb up your ass
Okay, now I have trouble. I can't decide who would be scarier between Avarice/Vagabond, and Dox, to make actually annoyed. On one hand, Avarice ('nough said.), on the other, Dox now has the potential to become DM 2.0.

Answer: Both. XD
Officially Dox is the luckiest bastard of all the Displaced along with Gilgamesh, Avarice, and Frank (Headless not Heartless)
You lucky git XD
I thought hastur was dead when he fucked with old man henderson?(for those who got the joke thank you.)
If there was 0.1% more awsome, it would be too much in one chapter.
The hastur thing, was the concert from "Who is this lord tirek you speak of?" ?
Sigh. I hope this story, doesn't get so wrapped up in unnecessary power creep, angst and morally questionable abuses of power to fuel sexual shenanigans. I mean DM just basically slipped the entire planet a date rape drug, at least in the sense that it allows one to take sexual advantage of people who otherwise would not be interested. The mental states Luna and Celestia must have been experiencing due to events of betrayal and mind control just adds another level of wrong, when considering their past in the show, this whole scenario just left a bad taste in my mouth.
And this doesn't even touch the morale quandary of poly-morphing entire civilizations against their will.
When it comes down to it the DM is debasing innocent life for fun. Seeing as how that kind of act is one of the examples for evil aligned characters in Pathfinder. I would think that DM should be suffering an alignment shift towards chaotic evil, seeing as how other gods generally regard him as a dick. I mean lets look at things; Dox is supposed to be a champion in a battle of good vs evil, yet with the reveal that DM was behind all of Tirek's dickery, this means that the other side hasn't even shown themselves yet and everything bad that has happened is essentially DM's doing. The way the story is going it seems like Dox may be working for the Big Bad instead of the Big Good.
So many Displaced stories get wrapped up in this kind of self indulgent wankery that I just find it hard to read after awhile. What I enjoy about these types of stories is out of place characters interacting with ponies in a way that's believable yet also develops the character or motivations of the Displaced. Dox has basically been dumped into things by the DM and has basically going through a series of fight/flight responses with only a few chances to rest. Notable exceptions being when he became King of the Changlings, there we got to see that Dox is a good guy who believes that people have a right to be individuals and make their own choices in life. (I'd like to note here that Dox's Daddy blatantly disregards other beings rights and free will when it comes to his own amusement.) Some characters were developed in the OC changlings and then sadly discarded (I don't really blame you for that since it was part of a crossover) and the second being his Training period in the Everfree.
Another thing it is said that DM is said to exist everywhere simultaneously and that is his whole bit. In a setting of a multi-verse that basically encompasses all fictional settings and divergent timelines, would that not bring DM into contention with other beings who exist in all realities at once. Transformers lore has something similar where some beings can percieve and move through different realities/universes/timelines at will, or they are everywhere, they have bodies in each universe/timeline which share a single identity and perception that spans the multi-verse. This is referred to as Being a 'Multiversal Singularity'. Examples include Primus (Lawful Good God Creator of the Cybertronians, his body often being the slumbering form of cyberton itself. With a portion of his power and wisdom being the power behind the autobot matrix of leadership.) and his Brother Unicron (Chaotic Evil God of planet devouring douchbaggery, who wants to return the multi-verse to the period of nothingness before time began, because even though he's a god of chaos he apparently enjoys his peace and quiet.) My point is that there are beings that have similar abilities to the DM who may or may not object to the DM's shenanigans and be in a position to do something about it. I think it would be hilarious if the DM did turn out to be the Big bad all along, with the Big Good being, someone we haven't even seen yet, maybe the one being without whom there would be no DMs, Gary Gygax, the man considered to be the father of D&D. (If this were the case it could be said that in a sense Gary Gygax would be the DMs father and thus Dox's Grandfather.)
Anyways I sort of went of on a tangent there, I'm just a bit concerned that the story is suffering due to morally questionable sexual pandering, cross-over fatigue and power-creep.

Oh wow. Ya know, I never thought of-
THIS IS NOT PATHFINDER. THIS IS D&D!
Just so you know, Pathfinder and D&D may be similar, but they're not even close to being the same freaking thing. That, and you've gotten a few things wrong.
I'm just going to say this first: I'm sorry if this left a bad taste in your mouth, but it's just how it goes.
Now, let me explain what you've gotten wrong. First off, the mind control is from Tirek, not the DM. I'm not sure if that's what you were thinking, but I had to clarify that. Second off, no one was taken advantage of in this situation. Everything in the chapter was consensual. If it seemed otherwise, then think of this. It's the heat period, the princesses are pent up. Also, Celestia is regretting things, a lot. She might have wanted to make this up to Dox, maybe it's because she has actual feelings for him, the answer is both. Luna, she has feelings for Dox, it's been made evident already, that, and her 'mother' gave her the go ahead (I know it's not her actual mother, deal with it).
Now, the next thing. I don't know how Pathfinder works, but let me tell you this: DM is DM. That meaning he is everything and nothing. Essentially, he's like the void. Now, what does that mean? He has no alignment. The only alignment that he has is to a balance. That balance is life and death. Other than that, the DM can be as much of a dick as he wants to be. Plus, it's kinda his job to send enemies at the players. He's the story teller, and he tells a story that is made up, by him, as it goes. Sometimes it's planned out, sometimes it's just a random encounter. It doesn't matter. The hard thing about this, is that I'm also trying to write a story so that it's like as if the main character, Dox, has received the powers of a D&D homebrew rule that I made up. That rule is the champion rule. That rule gives Dox special powers, and essentially makes him the DM's whipping boy. Hell, since their's no 'players', the only guy that the DM can directly fuck with is Dox. I mean, seriously! It's the DM's job to be a freaking troll, it's in the job description. You try being a nice DM for a few games, it gets boring REALLY boring, REALLY quickly.
This is the average actions of a DM:

Oh, and let's not forget the ever present silent rule:

Now, I'm going to ask, to everyone, that before you come to the comments and write about how the DM is an ass, please consider that he's been around since the beginning of EVERYTHING, and gets bored really easily. I mean, if you're that old and powerful, why not mess with a mortal, or semi-mortal like Dox.
That, and unless you've actually BEEN a dungeon master, you won't understand his views.
Sorry if I come off as an ass, myself, I just thought I needed to explain it.
On a better note, I'm planning on hopefully getting to Hekkar soon with the intentions of a crossover. During said crossover, we'll hopefully revisit those OCs that you so deeply miss. It may be brief, but hey, at least we acknowledge that they still exist!

Don't worry about coming off as an ass, part of that post was me bitching, slash trying to give a little constructive criticism/feedback. Now on the internet especially in text posts it can be hard to tell if someone is trying to give you actual feedback or if they're being passive aggressive unless you actually know them.
As for the DM I will admit your point, it is the DMs prerogative to drive the story forward and provide antagonists and a world for the players. I believe where my confusion arose is Dox's role of being the DM's champion and myself confusing the DM for the Big Good/Big Bad rather than the Story Teller. That misunderstanding probably comes from the fact that Dox is the protagonist, and generally you assume that the cosmic being guiding the protagonist would be the big good. I guess this made me forget the purpose of the DM especially in the context of this story, which you clearly reminded me of. Now that I have a clearer understanding of the DM I look forward to seeing how you develop Dox in his role as the DM's Champion and what exactly that means.
Anyways thanks a bunch for taking the time to read my massive wall of text and then actually replying to it.

I'm glad I could help you understand a few more things.
But let me say this, as well. The DM was never meant to be used as a guide for Dox.
Now, I'm not really saying this for you, I'm more saying it for everyone else. I'm saying it now to tell you, as well as anyone who reads the comments. I'm also going to put a message like this in the Author's Note for the next chapter, which is coming out as soon as I possibly can get it. I already have some of it, so yeah.
Anyways, I'd just like to say that I'm glad to see that you understand what I mean now, and that I understand you were only trying to help. I'd rather always see people in the comments as trying to be helpful, instead of just being jerks. The only time when it's certain that someone's doing it to be a jerk is when they outright insult the author or the story without the feedback. Honestly, I liked your comment, it was really constructive, 'cause honestly, I screwed up a bit. I should dial back on how much of a dick the DM acts like. So, expect that. He's going to be less of a jackass, and more of a story teller. But please do expect him to be a jackass when he can get away with it.
Oh, and as a spoiler
and a reward for putting up with me and my slight bitching (kinda had a bad day at school), I'm just going to tell you this:There was an actual reason the DM turned everyone anthro. Among things, it has something to do with those OCs that everyone misses so much.
5833081 yay.
In your summary, 'dice' is the plural term.
Yeah. Holy shit.
