Humanity is at war. A terrorist organization known as the Royal Resistance viciously attacks the civilians of the the empire called Fria Världen on Earth. Meanwhile, heartless aliens with a body count in the billions are arriving too close to home plate. In the midst of all this chaos, five unlucky soldiers go missing in action. They find out that there are in uncharted territory that has already been claimed. Will they meet their doom, or will they find salvation for their dying species?

4417063 as i oft argued, even outside of those factors they are powerful beyond normal. maud pie can shatter stone after all, and cheerilee can smash down walls, and ponyville is built for earth ponies.
4417211 As I explained, cartoon physics. In one episode big mac could pull a entire house with no problem, and another he had great trouble with a plow properly proportioned to his size. Cartoon physics mean they change when needed to suit what the writers want to portray. So id say that either those events are either over played to suit the situation or that anything inside that world would also be effected by the abnormal physics governing it considering these are miniature horses doing this... Small miniature horses for that matter according to the shows title. (by fanon measurements with objects in scenes about 3 1/2 feet tall for adult mares) So I'd say that first of all It wouldn't work that way in the real universe if they crossed over, and second of all we would follow that worlds physical laws if we crossed over negating what you see as a difference in strength.

4417574 I don't think your really understanding my point here.... IMO, If they invaded earth, they would not have any of those advantages due to them being inherit to their world. And if humans went to the world of fim I would believe that we would in-turn inherit similar quality's from that realm... I personally believe that each universes... rule-set for lack of better term would take precedent over all else.

4417764 I believe that while it is stored and used by them they draw it from the world around them like most fiction... magic leylines and stuff like that. Look at the ambient magic and all the other creatures in the FIM world who clearly share in its use yet would not have the capacity to knowingly use it. I have my own personal canon and you have yours so meh... until the show gives more info on the subject i'm sticking with what I believe.

4417841 You really have never heard of this in any fantasy novels? Half the books i've ever read that included magic used this system. Each person is simply a small reservoir and can only hold and manipulate so much at a time which can be trained and improved like working a muscle (which twilight is doing constantly... she also gets a boost due to it being her "talent").... that's the gauge of how powerful they are.... like storing power in batterys, they can only hold so much and transfer their energy so fast... Hell, I've seen quite a few stories on fimfiction use this system.
You've seen twilights and the alicorn princesses power... enough to wipe a small village off the map... about that of a four thousand pound bomb id say... I think its safe to say their talents have a lot more to do with it then compared to the time spent using it.. I don't think celestia and luna are that much more powerful than twilight is herself now. And cadance is most assuredly weaker.
4417841 Either way, I don't think they would live through one unseen, unheard, out of visual range fired bullet to the head, much less a decent sized bomb, or a nuke... or hell. Sanctions don't count towards aliens do they? How about a bio bomb? A engineered virus? A small fraction of the poisons the world has stockpiled? Even if they had a magical somehow completely impervious and 100% non porous shield that could also keep out radiation in most of its forms (which would kill them), kill the world they live on itself. You can create a new ocean where their nation would be located with the normal, non nuclear stockpiled munitions that the US has alone.
Sorry, but I don't think they would stand a chance in hell against even the weakest of nations on earth or even a well supplied outlying group. And at worst there is always false flag operations, worst comes, just say it was a group of radicals.
