The protagonist seems to cuss too much for a jedi.
Also why would a new school need a book of sith teachings?
For a jedi... the guy seemed to get a real kick out of blowing people away...
Wat?

Well, the original Je'daii order balanced light and dark. So did Revan and look how powerful it made him. I could see the "new" Jedi Order attempting to return to those ways. That might explain the Sith book. Though, I don't think they ever did in the novels, but this is a fanfic so whatever. Still, it makes me wonder how the Light/Dark wars began in the first place. Seriously, in the comics it is like the Je'daii just decided to drop their ways of balance and embrace one side or the other and allow that side of the force to corrupt them (even the Light is corruptible, as it makes you apathetic the deeper into it you go). What the hell? All because one darksider forcehound wound up on Tython? WTF? It makes even less sense than that. They were specifically trained to master channeling both sides of the force without allowing either to dominate them. This meant that attempting to claim one side or the other is better would get you labeled a moron and sent to one of the moons. Literally, that is what they did in those cases. It was temporary exile, though, for you to meditate on the opposite side of the force you fell to until you are balanced again.
On the other hand, I think I remember that canon Luke did make it where the Jedi freely offer Force training without requiring membership. I assume they would exclude combat applications and swordsmanship from that training, though.
OBJECTION!
If this is taking place after the death of Abeloth, the Rebellion would have ended almost 40 years ago! The Rebellion officially ended in 5 ABY after the incident at Bakura, as they became the New Republic afterwards. Abeloth was killed in 44 ABY. Your math is incorrect.
Dude just say X wing if that's the ship you're talking because when I see the XJ-12 I don't know what ship that is
