I always hate it when people say that the ill prepared are liabilities. A liability is something you have to pay like a bill. The ill prepared are liabilities waiting to happen.
I took accounting in high school, and I learned some things.
Is it some kind of rule for Rangers to have silly names? because in every single FoE fic there was at least one of them named after a pastry or something.
Ha I was just thinking of this fic right before I saw it updated This chapter gave me flashbacks of laughing like a lunatic when I used Terrifying Presence on those BOS dickbags in Vegas "I will cast down your Codex and bask in the dying agony of those who hold it dear." Great times
2912432 Pretty much. Some of them have more serious names, and to the ponies the sillier ones sound reasonable. Bring in a complete outsider, though... 2912998 "Uh, you were kidding just now when you said that thing about the Codex, right?" 2911920 Thank you.
That... was beautiful. I am a little disappointed that he didn't get to really teach those Rangers a lesson, because letting them return to HQ is a mixed blessing. On the one hand, the Rangers should now know not to fuck with Thomas. On the other hand, they should know not to fuck with him but will likely try to track him down and kill him now, because that's just the sort of thing groups like the Steel Rangers do.
Too bad he didnt have the pulse gun. In Fallout Equestria, it sounds like an EMP devise renders power armor offline, so if Thomas had that with him... It would have been interesting to say the lest.
2915349 Two things: An EMP would do that to normal power armour. We just don't see it in-game because it wasn't programmed in. Secondly, the EMPs in Fallout Equestria are not Electromagnetic Pulses, but are instead Electromagical Pulses. FoE runs on Magitek, spell matrices that power all their electronics. An EMP from the American Wasteland won't do crap against Equestrian power armour.
2915388 Well dang, it was worth a shot. Well done for Thomas and his speech skills though Even without the perks im sure he would have talked his way out of that situation. It just wouldnt be as much fun though.
The more I read this story and Ed2481's FOE crossover the more I want to see other characters brought into the Fallout Equestria world the way they always seem to wind up in normal Equestria.
Also every line of dialog that Thomas had with the rangers had me grining.
Liking the story so far, even though I personally don't care much for Fallout (the games, not the story Fallout Equestria, which I adore with all my heart).
Damnit, now you're reminding me that I need to be working on my own story.
So Thomas has Terrifying Presence, Jury Rigging, (probably Cowboy, maybe Hand Loader) (does he have Toughness?)... hm wonder what else might pop up What are his stats, come to think of it? (SPECIAL, tagged skills/traits, level...), or does he have a character sheet elsewhere on this site?
Terrifying Presence, fuck yes. I will avait future chapters with great anticipation. You did a great job, as always, my good brony. Keep it up. Cheers! ps. please update Bear, Scribe and Paladin
Whoa whoa whoa I thought Thomas spoke in Zebrican, or Green if you're Pinkie. I'm guessing that the language barrier is out or are these ponies all versed in the language of the Zebras?
“Who says I only have one talent?” he asked back. He picked up an empty magazine and slotted it into place before throwing it back at the mare. “There. Should be good for a week.”
I'm suprised wasteland ponies make that mistake- underestimating themselves to just their ass brand of destiny.
oh fuck yes. good times.
Aw man. I was kinda hoping for a firefight with the steel rangers....
oh well perhaps another time then.
Heh, I love Thomas when he's terrifying. And the line about the prostitutes was genius

Don't fuck with the protagonist or the narrative will fuck you.
Someone loves the terrifying presence perk!

I hereby predict that by the end of this adventure Moonbeam will have an Ultra SMG. Have fun, my little moonbeam

Exactly. Of course, then he'll have to show them why the Courier is not to be messed with.
Death, Destruction and Despair indeed...

I should've seen this coming...

Awww wouldn't everybody want Moonbeam as a companion?
Even if she might be Waking Cloud *shudder* level combat usefulness, Who cares! Unicorn mare!
So Thomas has Terrifying Presence, Jury Rigging, (probably Cowboy, maybe Hand Loader) (does he have Toughness?)... hm wonder what else might pop up

You can find his SPECIAL at the end of the first chapter of Wayward Courier. As for everything else, I have nothing.
2922270
Dem stats be cray-cray!
Maxed out Lvl 50 courier as expected, and not a typical crit build!
also, awww here I was hoping he'd force Crusader Shortcake to let Moonbeam ride on her back and call her "Mister Ed" :3
Terrifying Presence, fuck yes.

Here, magic is not gamma radiation.
Different rules, different universe.
2943503 Ah makes sense. I figured but I just wanted to hear it from the horse's mouth *ba dum tish* That was bad and I feel bad.
2913879 the rangers seem to act more like oucasts
Am I the only one who thinks Moonbeam seems a little to naive to be surviving in the wastes?
I can't deny that I fucking love that perk. Example from the game:
(6:38)
Strawberry Shortcake... i think i heard that name before...
*Searches for the mare in Chrome*
I'm suprised wasteland ponies make that mistake- underestimating themselves to just their ass brand of destiny.
