Okay, it was kind of inevitable, but this episode is obviously a case of fandom references... done bad. Awfully. Even offensively for some people. The Opposite and Anathema to the faithfully and respectfully done Ep 100. But well... honestly my issue is less with that and more of how... nonsensical this episode is. Seriously, I now have a newfound respect for Maud as a character after watching this episode! Apparently her interest in rocks goes a bit deeper than any canyon in Equestria... possibly. Also, I did not expect Starlight would be in this episode, let alone play an important role in it. Their interactions were surprisingly more interesting than I expected.
