Today, I'm gonna give you guys my take of Pixar's "Brave".
Here's the rundown of this tale:
The finished user-voted story is all done now! Enjoy it and soak it in, because Destroyershy96 himself threw quite a bit of butthurt around over it. Or, specifically, the fact that he wasn't given forward warning about the riff, which he wouldn't have even seen since he didn't return to the site until after it was voted for and started, so I feel like the excuse is as empty as I'm used to from him.
Sorry for being so late with my own announcement tonight. I was spending a last day with a friend who's moving out of state.
First off, it's a wrap on "A Friendship Broken by Loyalty." Y'all got brutal with it, and I'm proud.
First up, "My Little Fazpony" is done. Jesus, that was a bitch of one.
If you know a couple things about me, it's that I've probably/maybe made some kind of Satanic pact to update things like I do, or might just be some eldritch vortex that has legs but mostly just vomits up words. Something like that.
This, of course, never means that I don't go back and revise/tweak little bits and things in my older stories. I reread my stuff often enough, especially to try and spot a rare typo or something that might have slipped by and see the quality of my work. Etc.
Aware this will bring disagreement and hatred among people, and aware it does hypocrite my own characters in some ways... I gotta be true to myself.
There are reasons I dislike Twilight Sparkle, her friends, and the entire MLP concept, (Which is why I make my starfleet fics to make a stance) and I'll do so in a matter similar to Quagmire hating Brian.
Why do I hate you, Twilight Sparkle... it's easy...
Here we are once again folks. I bring to you all the marvelous work from a wonderful person. Damayanti. This commission ended up being a lot bigger and more ambitious than all of our works so far. And I hope it shows! Dama put in lot of effort and practice to get this one right, and I truly believe she did wonders with it.
"My Brave Pony: Starfleet Humans" comes to a close. Fucking hell. I didn't even really participate, and this is STILL a really gross skim. I'd be happy to go without more Mykan for months.
Friday:
Woke up to a call from Mom, talked to her for a bit... She was mostly making sure that we were all okay and what had we gotten for dinner the night before... And then that shower happened. XD Because, despite my stated intentions as the end of my last blog, I did not, in fact, shower Thursday night... My motivation ran out... But I did take that very long shower Friday morning before donning my outfit for the day.
So the perpetual runner-up of the polls has finally been riffed. And no one seemed to listen when I said the people who voted for it should have actually jumped in and join. Seriously, don't be shy. It's improv, basically; almost nothing's off the table, you just need to be daring enough to put yourself out there.
I will most likely not be writing them, but that doesn't mean you can't. Snow (may he rest in peppers) set a really good tone for Celestia in this story, and I know I will 100% fuck that up. The Celestia I originally planned to write was much different from his, but I'm glad things turned out how they did because I like his Celestia way more.
Look at this picture up there. This is why Flurry Heart is the most badass baby that ever existed.
After Chrysalis re-emerged from under the debris of her throne, everyone was getting ready to fight her if she should try anything and Flurry Heart was one of them.
Strap in, laddies, this’ll be a long one.
