Friendship is Card Games: Movie Prequel #3 and #4 · 1:10pm Dec 30th, 2018
Time to close out 2018 by finishing up the prequel comics for 2017’s pony movie. At this rate, I should catch up by June! You know, barring Season 9.

This week, it’s all about dreams, both aspirations in the waking world and the hazy narratives of slumbering minds. Well, dreams and Tabitha St. Germain. Let’s begin.
This week, we take a look at one of the most infamous cases of critical research failure to ever grace the comics. Also Fluttershy and Applejack’s vacation gets ruined by tourists and cryptids. Let’s get started.
This week, we have only one issue of the main line left before confronting the Cosmos arc, and we’re fresh out of Legends of Magic. As such, we’ll start looking into the following side series, Ponyville Mysteries.
But before that, there’s a little matter involving Zephyr Breeze…
This week, we return to the multiplanar heist flick that is Nightmare Knights and watch the plan make contact with the enemy. Naturally, things go downhill from there
We return to the side stories for the penultimate time before fully catching up. The theme for the recent ones appears to be non-ponies (and Sandbar.) After this is the first EqG comic since Anon-a-Miss and an upcoming crossover with Transformers. But for now, we look at the Student Six.
So I woke up this morning, started poking around the intarwebs, at which point I learned IDW is doing a straight-up Transformers/MLP crossover. Neat!
And so we cover the back half of a most unexpected crossover. Let’s see what can be seen.
What’s up, you all? I am doing something that has never been done on my account: A Contest! But, not just any contest...a contest, where the fellow writer, YOU, get to write a fanfic to help the Mane Six defend Equestria from the evil Knights of Harmony!
If we’re going in strict chronological order of release, I should’ve gone for Camp Bighoof before Endless Summer, but it is what it is. Let’s see what I missed out on last time, while also chipping away at the main line backlog.
It’s another clash of Hasbro’s titans, and I’m throwing a third into the mix. (Given the upcoming D&D crossover set, it’s only appropriate.) This time, we change up the setting; it’s ponies on Cybertron.
Hello there!
If this blog's caught the attention of the little globe at the top of your screen, it's probably because you either follow me or track Disappointment-Incarnate's story All Hail the Overlord.
We return to the comics, where a conveniently timed one-shot helps me schedule the five-issue Milkyway storyline. Let’s see just what how we're closing out 2023.
Next on the docket is the back half of The Unicorn of Odd. Let’s see how much of the original story makes it out unscathed from under the G4 cast’s critical eyes.
Here we go. The Siege of the Crystal Empire. The first major multi-part story since Reflections, which promises the return of King Sombra and plot elements from Fiendship is Magic #1. With Jeremy Whitley riding high after Friends Forever #20 and the mentioned Fiendship is Magic #1, I have high expectations as I'm sure many do. So, let's not waste any more time and dig in.
Less than twenty-four hours left in the Imposing Sovereigns contest. If your story is still in the submission queue by the time midnight rolls around, send me a PM or post a link on the contest blog.
Moving on to this week’s comic, this one presents an interesting situation: I’m actually not too familiar with this storyline beyond a certain point. More genuine first impressions than usual incoming.
This week is all about leaders, underlings, and two very different management styles. Let's compare and contrast.
This week, we’re looking at the cheesiest fruit you’ve ever tasted. Let’s see if this comic-form B-movie gets an A or an F.
Welcome to the sixth interseasonal hiatus, ladies and gentlemen. For those of you joining me since the second half of Season 6, I’ve long since run through the backlog of past pony episodes (easily findable through the archive here,) so I’m making my way through the comics. This week, it’s side comics, with Rainbow Dash’s micro-series issue and the CMC/Discord team-up. Let’s take a look.
We’re sticking with the side stories for a bit to bring things to some semblance of parity. As such, this week, we have Rarity on a commune and a team-up between two of the most important people in Twilight Sparkle’s life.
