After a week of having a badly distorted sleeping schedule that made me too tired to be productive half the time, I have finally righted the ship of sleep to the point where I am actually awake during daylight hours and asleep at night (for at least a few hours). In celebration, I thought I’d start attacking all the new stories I missed reading while I was dazed and confused for the holidays.
Today’s stories:
Ordinarily, I do only five stories at a time in review sets unless I’m reviewing short story collections, but I decided to do six instead of five in this set so as to avoid compelling myself to try and read four more recent stories in lieu of some older ones I’ve been putting off reading.

APPLEJACK: Twilight! Why in Equestria would you say such a thing?
FLUTTERSHY: "It's exactly this kind of weirdness that put me off poison joke. Though sometimes I mix it into Angel's carrots when he's been misbehaving."
RARITY: "Do - You - Have - Any - Idea, how long it took me to clean my coat and mane of all this desert dust and bit of cacti! Twice as long as it should have, with Pinkie's words still ringing in my ears! Oh, darling, you'd better believe I let Rainbow Dash have it!"
RAINBOW DASH: "'Unicornia?' The name is Pegasopolis!"
Today’s set of reviews is courtesy of Scribblefest and (in one case) the Royal Guard. I haven’t written reviews for every story I’ve read for Scribblefest, but I ended up writing reviews for several of them; note that if you are a Scribblefest competitor, my word on your story is not the final word. We’re presently doing the prelim-round judging, wherein three judges read each entry and nominate them for a category, and I am but one of nine judges involved.
Anyway, onto the reviews!
My goal for this week is to get at least one set of Read it Now Reviews done, one set of Read It Later Reviews done, one new story posted, one piece of original fiction sent off to a publisher, and one video game to be played.

I’m just about done reading the stories for the last Writeoff competition, but in the meanwhile, I thought I’d throw another batch of new stories at you folks, especially in the light of commenting to someone else about how this helps improve feature box quality. You know how much power we reviewers wield!
Not very much.

It has been a while since I wrote one of these. I had been planning to put this out before Christmas, but I ended up procrastinating too much on it, and didn’t get the last two stories reviewed until last night, when I was, ironically, procrastinating on doing something else.
Clearly, the real secret to productivity is to make it so that you loop your procrastination around to the point where you are always getting stuff done.
Yesterday, I said I’d maybe take a break from recent story reviews to work on my own stuff.
Then my feed exploded with stories.
You monsters. It’s almost like you want me to keep reading!
But for all your work, I am grateful – today was a very good day for pony fiction.
