Fast as lightning, sharp as a sword
Hi. Thank you so much for reading my story and clicking through to this blogpost! This is a story that hasn't been in my head nearly as long as "Sonata" was, but it still took a while to fully write out. If you ended up here before reading the story, please read it before clicking the big green button below.
You can't say that I don't keep my promises. I said there would be an epilogue to my Vinyl Scratch story, and I have delivered.
IN WHICH IT TOOK FOREVER
Hello there and thank you for taking the time to read Her Shimmering Sunset. With this story, my attempt at writing romance comes to a close. follow me past the jump for more ramblings and inside scoops.
IN WHICH I MAUL ENGLISH AGAIN
Hi. Thanks for reading & clicking. I was very pleased with the reception that Comma Comma got last year, so I decided to write a follow up. It's been sitting completed for a while, but only now am I posting it. Why? Eh, it's raining outside so why not? Allow me to give context to some of the "story", such as it is.
Now that the site seems to be working again, here's a placeholder for the current project:
It keeps getting longer, for some reason. I was expecting a one-shot, and at about 5,000 words, we've only just learned how to resolve the problem. Also I'm giving Zecora too much dialogue. She either needs to stop talking, or I need to quit being so OCD about her couplets.
This blog won't be attached to any story, so it'll kinda be a crapshoot as to who if anyone reads it. But I need to get it off my chest, which is what matters more.
From now on, no Author's Notes will be included in future chapters of Wandering Through Realities unless necessary.
Author's Notes can crowd and distract the natural flow of things. So, anything else I might want to say will be in the form of trusty blog posts, for your backstage drama needs!
In that faith,
Zolvypoo<3
Today I made a small (?) edit to "The Blue and the Gray". I decided to upgrade its reader rating from everyone to teen. I hope that this didn't inconvenience any of my readers out there, but I had to wonder if some of my recent use of profanity had disqualified my story from at least some of the audience out there. Yeah, I know, does anyone running this operation ever proofread this thing and catch stuff like this. Personally, I doubt it. But it felt like the right thing to do.
I'm thinking of splitting up the next chapter of Her Majesty's Hidden Swords: one part for "normal happenings" one part for "Tom Clancy spy novel knockoff." Thing is, the slice-of-life stuff isn't very long; maybe only...2000 words? Bare minimum 1000. If I make the next chapter a filler chapter, I can't imagine anyone who's actually interested in the story (and if the downvotes are anything to go by, not many) will like it.
First off, thank you for reading my story. This is the third fiction I've made public on FimFic, though it's the fourth one I've completed and the seventh I've started to any significant degree.
I've decided to do things a bit differently here. Instead of doing long Author's Notes at the end of each chapter or explaining things in the comments, I'm going to just link people to this blog post. Hopefully it's preferable to me clogging the comments section with my own comments.
Well, after over four months of mostly-inactivity and 6700+ words, "Vinyl Scratch's Uninvited Guests", as I envisioned it, is complete.
I had the ending planned out from the start. I always knew that each chapter had to end with a stinger line from the CMC, and the story overall had to end with Vinyl's house being destroyed.
Hi all. I wasn't really anticipating writing a dedicated blogpost for this story, but there are a few things I want to say about it that either wouldn't fit or would be out of place in the afterword.
Welcome, everyone! These are the author's notes for Octavia Tries to Eat a Vanilla Pudding Cup. They are intended to be read after the story.
More Octascratch! This is my second fic and also my "I wrote this in 23 hours" and my "verbs noun" story. I'm allowed one of those.
IN WHICH I FAIL AT RESOLUTION
Consider this my additional thoughts on the latest installment of Mayor's Break Time, because I'm not concise enough to fit stuff into an afterword.
IN WHICH I'VE KEPT A PROMISE TO MYSELF
As many of my loyal readers (you poor schmucks) know, I was barely able to use FimFic for months. I promised myself once I finally bought a new computer, I'd write a story in which Sunset did the same: a fic to inaugurate my new machine. Well, one month after buying my "new" laptop, it's finally ready. I hope you like(d) it.
I feel like there is a lot to go over on these two chapters, while at the same time it feels like everything is pretty simple and straight forward.
IN WHICH I SONATA
Hello and thank you for reading my latest story and these extra ramblings. I guess I have a few things to say about the story while I'm still awake. So let's get down to it!
