Steel Resolve needs your help!
It's not a contest, per se, but Admiral Biscuit is looking for people to write more stories about working ponies!

Blog Number 16: 10,000 Views Edition
Ten weeks without a blog, and then I get a head cold the instant I decide to write one. As anyone who follows me will know by now, timing is not my strong suit.
Blog Number 10: Extract Edition
Since I'm not producing much at the moment, I thought I'd try a little experiment. Below is an extract from a story I tried my hand at a while back. I'm posting details above it so that you can see where I'm coming from. For a while, I abandoned it because I wasn't sure how to make it work, but at the same time I didn't like to leave my work without an audience, and it's something I'm trying out.
Like a swiss army knife, this post will have many parts to deal with different subjects. Admittedly, this makes the resulting blog eclectic and fat with blocks of adi-prose, but it means I can package a fair number of points in one go and then cheerfully go my own way for several weeks afterwards. It also has the advantage of cutting down the number of blog notifications my followers receive (I follow some users who seem to blog every other day, and it gets a bit boring after a while), and it
Hey hey, new Flash Fiction Online for this month! We've got a heart-wrenching story just about families and growing up, how hard it can be to let go, and stock markets and war in what is assuredly a Star Wars fanfiction universe. Enjoy!

My Little Pony Friendship is Magic - Season 2 Episode 22 - Hurricane Fluttershy [HD]*
…Well, thanks to the first botch I’ve had from Ryanair in donkey’s years (despite their reputation, they are very reliable for short European flights), one that forced a different plane to be used three hours and twenty-five minutes later, I arrived home just late enough from UK PonyCon to miss Monday Musings going up on Monday. Least by British time – it’s still on time for the Americans in the crowd!
So at least some of you are aware that one of the groups I'm part of and help with is Time Action Glory Challenge, a group dedicated to boosting the exposure of underused characters. Part of this is that the group started tracking story count by character tag back in mid-2017. First it was maintained by Impossible Numbers, then
So you might (not) remember that I posted a blog two years ago, in which I pretended to have seen My Little Pony: A New Generation but was really just prankin'?
Well, a mere two years later, I've stopped dragging my feet and seen it.
The verdict?
A new set of G5 episodes is out, and given what happened in them? This seems to lead easily into a particular trio of troublemakers and their unending obsession.
And so we lead with Bring Me the Heads of the Cutie Mark Crusaders! by CCC.
Blog Number 9: Throw the Dog a Bone Edition
Y'know, I'm kind of running out of candidates for these. (No, that's not a plea for you to fling suggestions at me. Not yet, anyway.) I do still have a list I haven't exhausted, but it's getting shorter. It's hard to find people who meet my criteria:
Last week was the “serious” side of looking back at 2023 for Ghost Mike’s Ponyfic Review Monday MusingsTM in review, focusing largely on quantifiable stats calculated in the Archive Spreadsheet. Now it’s time for the fun, goofy side of that – quirky takeaways that don’t mean much except being something to chuckle at.
One of the groups I'm part of (Time Action Glory Challenge) has a simple enough stated goal: helping all the character tags reach 100 stories. A part of that is tracking just where characters are in their story count - a list that was maintained since late 2016 by Impossible Numbers. In that time, the top tier - 10,000+ stories - has been occupied by
Blog Number 6: "Didgeridoo" Edition
Good news! Following on from last week's blog (if you're interested in the details of the National Pony Writing Month, please see that blog), I went ahead and began work on my new Daring Do story. The first chapter is now up on my Userpage, in the section on the top right entitled In Progress/Development.
Blog Number 5: "Month of the Novel" Edition
Blog Number 7: Coming To Terms Edition
I'll confess; I'm disappointed with myself. I failed to deliver Didgeridoo in time for the National Pony Writing Month.
Anyone else ever remember giving something up for Lent when they were young? Even though it hasn’t been a thing in close to two decades for me, I’m reminded of it by two people in the house doing it for the first time in donkey’s years. Okay, one person, my mom to combat her sweet tooth: my brother is merely relaxing on the soft drinks outside of before and after sports training/matches. But that’s still 1.5 more than usual.
