While I was going crazy putting together an entry for this weekend's Writeoff Association competition (check out the 36 submitted stories here! There's currently a preliminary round, and voting on the finalists will be open to the public next week), another brony was out there doing something y'all should appreciate!
I lied. It’s clickbait. It’s really Fanfiction Reading Update #180. There’s enough political shit and wanting to start civil wars in everyone else’s blog posts. Go read theirs or Knighty’s, which started all this, if you want to dive into what will eat the next six months of this site’s life. I, meanwhile, will talk about horse words one last time before the partisans knock down my front door.
Sorry for my relative silence lately — I've been getting sucked into family and housecleaning thanks to the recent holiday, plus things have gotten crazy in the best possible way at work. Later this week is the vote for a $16 million grant application my employer has been coaxing through the wheels of bureaucracy for the past three years, and all the signs point to yes. We've been working sort of in startup mode for the past few years, and this is when everything suddenly starts to pay off.
The following is an old blog post written in February 2014 that I'm putting here because I don't know where else to put it. I also added some tips at the end I've gleaned since writing this.
I felt bad about this one. I had promised a friend that I'd get around to finishing it over a year ago but never had the chance or energy to do so in the middle of a move. I had nothing to do in this pain-in-the-ass lockdown, so I decided to finish what I had started. Here's the end result -

It’s been quite entertaining watching Derpibooru completely implode in on itself as TSP, the site’s owner, completes this strangely riveting villain arc and has a full-on villainous breakdown. Reminds me a lot of those dark magic Twilight fics, in fact. A slow burn of questionable decisions until the madness is fully revealed (through leaked chat logs) and leaves you wondering where the train hopped off the tracks.
Yesterday, I did a read through of a story that is no longer up on this site, sadly. It's called The Things the CMC are NOT Allowed To Do in School and it's by Str8aura. I read through all potential stories I consider recording for my channel before actually doing it, and I decided to read it like Sean Connery, just because, and I absolutely died laughing while reading one of the lines! I literally could not stop laughing!

Buckle up folks, this is a long one.
In TER, I fixed all of the errors so far in the chapters that I have. This included name mistakes (I changed the MC's name 3 times now and in some chapters I neglected changing it, so fixed) and spelling mistakes. The Ending Race might change, as in, the name, because I just couldn't think of a name back then when I started writing it, so I will think of one again.

I can't believe this happens..... I got a message today from a user who contacted me about reading my fics on YouTube a few days ago and now he read "The End"! 
I can't believe this fic got two readings now and that even in such a short amount of time!
