Friday:
Woke up to a call from Mom, talked to her for a bit... She was mostly making sure that we were all okay and what had we gotten for dinner the night before... And then that shower happened. XD Because, despite my stated intentions as the end of my last blog, I did not, in fact, shower Thursday night... My motivation ran out... But I did take that very long shower Friday morning before donning my outfit for the day.
So basically I've dropped the ball and it doesn't look like I'm going to get this chapter finished tonight.
Le gasp!
So, I watched the Gauntlet of Fire, and I just wanted to note that this episode, for all its strengths, really also shows that the show’s creators continue to struggle with using characters as bystanders, as well as character development.
So. Remember the little caffeine stunt? I went to class while still on the high, more coffee than human, and, uh.
I think I either seduced a teacher, or became a part-time lecturer myself. Or both. I'm still not sure.
Anyway! That will be explained in detail later, in a different blog, because I'm being actually serious, and this is the kind of story you share, god dammit. I thrive on the attention.
This episode is a bombshell. I didn't expect what happened and I had to watch it seven times so that my brain could process all of it. Tirek, Chrysalis, Cozy Glow, Grogar, the LAST Summer Sun Celebration..... It's all an enormous mix of emotions; sadness, excitement, trepidation and fear. Fear for the Future.
By the way, who is that character at the end of the video? I mean, I know who she is now, but does anyone here know what she's like or anything?
We recorded this last night. I just finished editing it, and I burnt my hot dog. Well that gives this episode a good omen. Remember kinds, don't cook and work. This week we continue reading "Letters From an Irritated Princess" by Tired Old Man.
Howdy folks!
As I promised last week, I posted a new story yesterday:
I Have This Friend
Comedy, Romance
2,026 wordsTwilight asks Celestia for romantic advice.
You know, for a friend.
Because, really, who doesn’t love awkward conversations?
From Melania Trump (Donald Trump's wife)'s speech tonight:
Appropriate for a speech on a day focused on how Mr. Trump won't let anyone hurt you.
Some days, I just sit down and go through a bunch of stories from the Royal Guard queue in the hopes of finding something to approve for our next post, often reading many stories I would never have read otherwise, or something I have put off reading for a long time, in hopes of finding a gem. Wednesday was one of those days.
