I've mentioned it on other blogs and batted it around in my head for a bit, but I've decided to come back to Midnight Rising to do a bonus chapter, this one centered around Gilda the Griffon's appearance and experience when she crossed over to confront the human Rainbow. What sparked this was a sudden image I had of her that I wanted to commission from an artist, and from there it turned into a fantasy about how it might have happened in the course of Midnight Rising.

Hello everyone! So, now that I've finished Frozen Family, the sequel to Frozen Friendship, I am going to be posting a new story. It is... technically another Disney parody story, but also not. You'll find out what that means when it comes out. I will give you a preview: the main characters are going to be four bad eggs, who have a chance to be good, and one prince of a fellow to help them along. And it's going to be a storm of a story. I finished the second Feathered Hearts transition chapter last night, which now tops the scales at 11.5k words, and then charged right into the third one this morning, putting down the first 3200 words on it. This third one ends with the start of the Cloven attack. Expect a rollercoaster within it including some serious mood swings.

I have about 1000 words of new content already written, and this next chapter will be critical, not so much for its ending scene (which I intend to be epic) but for getting there properly and building tension for it. Over the years, I’ve found there is an inverse relationship between how much I enjoy writing a clopfic, and how much I can write on it in one sitting. Ironically, but perhaps not surprisingly, the more fun it is, the less time I can spend on it for reasons I’m sure everybody can guess. That’s actually a good sign for the story, for when I enjoy writing something, it tends to turn out quite well, even if it ends up being a bit late.

It was up for about half an hour before I noticed, so I apologize to anybody who saw it and ended up very confused or thought it was unfinished (because it was). The proper chapter content has been restored. But, since I did that, I might as well give an update on the new chapter.
