Harmonic Resonance Chapter 6 will release on Wednesday Night · 7:30pm Jul 11th, 2022
It’s draft complete and already approved of by the Commissioner except for one minor request; I’m just giving myself the chance to finish it and prereaders a chance to hit the chapter before it posts. Next up in the goddess pantheon is everybody’s favorite pony-turned-human girl, and I’m taking a different approach with her.
As she alone has ascended before (I don’t count Twilight turning into Midnight in this world), she alone will not fear it and be able to appreciate her apotheosis in full. She will also be the only one to be alone during the process.
On a side note, the question was posed to me as to whether Midnight Rising is canon to this story. The answer is no, it isn’t. This is a separate verse. But that doesn’t mean I can’t reference it, and there can’t even be some discussion of it afterwards. You’ll see what I mean in the final chapter of the story, after all the girls are ascended.
After this comes the final ascension chapter where Sci-Twi finally gets over her fear and learns that becoming a goddess doesn’t mean becoming Midnight, and then I’ll end the story with kind of a wrap-up entry that shows the aftermath and some of what occurs, including the musical contest mentioned at the very start of the story.
The way it’s been worked out, they don’t remain goddesses full time but it’s a power available to them when they need it, maybe when high-level magical threats occur. Their immediate friends and families will remain aware of what they are but other witnesses may have their memories wiped as our newly ascended heroines would like to remain simple teenagers as much as possible and only ascend when they either need to, or would like to have some fun. Expect at least a couple twists in the final chapter as well—one sexy and one not, but hopefully the latter is still funny.
The chapter will release on Wednesday night, and after that, I go directly into the next one, then the final one. And then I’m either going to return to Midnight Rising, or if I need a break from clop, it’ll be a new chapter of Feathered Hearts (which isn’t too far removed from clop half the time anyway!)
Speaking of FH, expect one final reference to it in the closing chapter as Rainbow plays a prank on her human girlfriend Gilda. For the record, and as an aside, this is how I envision Gilda as a human:
