When Muses Attack... · 8:11pm Dec 10th, 2021
All you can do is surrender to them and let them have their way with you. But that’s very much to the benefit of readers.
I finished the second Feathered Hearts transition chapter last night, which now tops the scales at 11.5k words, and then charged right into the third one this morning, putting down the first 3200 words on it. This third one ends with the start of the Cloven attack. Expect a rollercoaster within it including some serious mood swings.
I’ll release a teaser later, but I’m working so quickly--the words are just flowing right now--that I think there’s a decent chance I may actually be able to finish the third chapter this weekend. If so...?
If so, you’ll start getting the three new new chapters this coming weekend, with the first out on Sunday. After that, expect one every 2-3 days, ending with the appearance of the Cloven. And after that? Well, this has come so quickly that I can either keep working on it, or maybe go back to Eros and write a couple new chapters there in time for Xmas.
Hey, when the words keep coming, ride the flow. Looking forward to seeing what washes up.
FINALY! It will be a glorious chapter about the dread of war and why every war is not about winning but losing the least...
War never decided who was right. Only who was left...
It's writing like you'r that inspired me to release storys of my own. You'r a great inspiration.
That's an awesome pre christmas gift! Right when I have holidays!!
Thank you Firesight!
When you are the conduit for it is amazing how much can pour forth.
I'm excited that even more will be waiting under tree for me later this month when I finally have time to sit down and enjoy a good read.

My thoughts exactly. It’s fun when they just flow out of you like that. Believe me, that doesn’t always happen. In fact, it’s much more the exception than the rule.

There will certainly be losses here, including some quite keenly felt.
So goes the saying, but I tend to disagree a bit with that. War has reshaped societies and altered the course of history many times. Is there such a thing as a good war? No, but there are necessary ones, in my view. And when you fight them, you fight to win them. If we’ve lost sight of anything over the past eighty years, it’s that.
Why thank you! Just as DEL inspired me, It warms my heart to know I’ve inspired others in turn. Best of luck in your own writing endeavors!

You said it. It’s a wondrous feeling when it happens, writing so effortlessly. Believe me, it’s not always that way. In fact, like I said up top, it usually isn’t. Muses can be notoriously fickle things.
Three chapters will be posted this week. Enjoy and I look forward to hearing what you think of them!
