The climactic Battle of Epsilon chapter is draft complete and currently tipping the scales at a whopping 15,194 words. Musical selections are also made--expect some very heavy metal from a particularly appropriate album courtesy of AJ_Aficionado!--and it's now awaiting prereader passes. After due consideration, it is not going to be broken up into two parts. It's a big chapter because it needs to be in order to tell the full story of The Battle Beneath the Storm.

As it currently stands, I will be updating Dead by Midnight twice a month. I have a relatively strong backlog of written chapters (that I still have to edit ) but frankly speaking I just don't have the kind of free time I did when I was writing Dead by Sunset and Featherfall. Back then I had a job that, while not the best paying, afforded me significantly more free time while still permitting me to pay my bills.

We have a 9500 word chapter thus far, tentatively titled Lunar Lust, and it's a doozie. I promised to take Luna to the very edge of temptation, and this chapter does indeed deliver that. Be warned it may also rustle some jimmies, not so much for what happens but for admissions of what happened in the past.
