If either of those are the case, then this is the group for you!
This group's primary function is to provide writers with a selection of individuals who are willing to help out with stories. Authors can contact any of these "editors" to help them create the best story they can. These editors can be used for anything from detailed proofreading to basic decision making on your story.

For Writers:
All of the editors will be displayed in this document. There, they are organized into groups based on what type of story they prefer to edit for. All you have to do is select the category that your story fits under which will take you to the corresponding list of editors for that genre.
From there you can look through the editor's information to help you decide who would benefit your story best.
Be respectful to the editors! The editors are working by choice. They do not have to help you if you are disrespectful towards them! It is ultimately their decision whether or not they will agree to help. Applications should be sent to the respective editors through Fimfiction private messaging.
Don't forget to add your story to the group if you choose to work with one of our editors! It helps the group out a lot and is much appreciated!
Remember to post editor requests as a Thread! NOT in the group comment box.
Optional: Did you have a good experience with one of the editors? Let us know! Tell us how the editor helped you, what you liked and/or disliked about them. How can they or the group improve? Send your review including the name of the editor to an admin so we can give credit where it is deserved and improvement where it is needed!

Maybe it's because you feel like you have a lot of advice to offer to other writers. Maybe it's just because you don't think you can write a story yourself but would still like to contribute. Whatever reason you may have, you can easily become an editor if you follow these steps:

A few months back, I accidentally deleted my stories. When I put them all back up (which took awhile), the reaction to them seemed less pleasing. I would like some help and feedback as to how to make them better.

You as well. Should your editor go MIA for a while, just drop them a friendly reminder and ask how things are going. If they are unavailable or busy at the moment, then a second editor to step in and help out until the first is done be busy, or backs out, is usually okay.

Hi, and Welcome to the Group!
That's a little debatable. On one hand, it is really good to have multiple eyes going over things, just so you have different view points giving input and stuff. But at the same time, if everyone is not on the same page, it could deteriorate into a mess with arguments, and people saying no to what others think. I also think it depends on the level of skill of some editors. Some are fantastic and can pretty much solo not just other people's work, but their own as well. Other editors are kinda new, or really inexperienced so having another editor with them can help them learn as well.
I operated with two editors for a while. One was a main editor and helped me develop the story and figure things out when I got stuck, and the other was more of a pre-reader, who check for grammar issues. It worked pretty well.

402764 Generally we edit based on personal schedules, you could apply for an editor even if you don't have half a chapter done yet. Whether or not someone will come edit is entirely based upon the editor. Having said this, all editors reserve the right to refuse the right to edit something, so theres no guarantee that an editor will actually come.
I also don't know of too many editors in this group, most people just join to get help, which is kinda a flaw on our part. Working to amend this is a priority right now.
