Star Ponies
A recent, new, and mysterious Variant of Pony accidentally began with Princess Twilight Sparkle as the first Star Pony, this Variant is unlike others in how it can manifest in anypony who has a star as or part of their cutie-mark though this is not a guarantee. Otherwise, one can be born a Star Pony if one or both of their parents are Star Ponies.
Star Ponies possess mystical powers, whether they are earth pony, pegasi, or unicorn, and seem to possess an innate curiosity and a drive to learn and discover and explore.
They differ by how their manes and tails give off a glimmering stardust-like aura, having stars in their eyes, and of course their powers:
Star Magic
Regardless of Pony Type, Star Ponies possess a magic in relation to the stars, and their powers are stronger at night when the stars are out and aglow.
Star Mark
Star Ponies can mark something or someone with a magic star that allows them to find what or whoever they mark. The star marks however work best at night when the stars are out. They can still work during the day, but the ability to sense them is weaker.
Star Fire
Star Ponies can manifest an astral energy they can use to attack, defend, or support. Star Fire can be thrown like fireballs, light up darkness as well as reveal things magically hidden, create a light that evil or dark creatures can't stand, or even manifest in the form of cords/cables/ropes of astral energy similar to the lines of a constellation, and be used to grab, tie up, etc. Otherwise, Star Fire can also create a bubble-shaped shield of protection around the user or someone the user wants to protect.
The color of Star Fire is the same as the Star Pony's own magic, but it also gives off a radiance of stardust, and it has the power to more easily destroy the Undead.
Star Burst
A power shared by all Star Ponies, this allows them to move briefly at high speeds in the form of astral energy. It was discovered that this is possible by the Star Pony breaking their forms down to their molecular components, thus negating their mass, and reassembling them at their destination.
While Star Bursting, they are akin to shooting stars and leave behind a trail of Star Fire.
Astral Form
Star Ponies can take on Astral Form in which they are virtually invisible, but they become easier to see in the light yet remain transparent whereas places of low light can make them harder to see. Not only that, in Astral Form, Star Ponies are like ghosts, allowing them to phase through solid matter.
Star Ponies can extend their Astral Form to whatever they're wearing or have on their person, as well as whomever they're touching, but this takes practice.
Astral Constructs
Star Ponies can manifest constructs of astral energy that resemble constellations yet are as solid as the Star Pony makes them. They require considerable energy to maintain however.
Supernatural Strength, Speed, Senses, and Reflexes
Star Ponies possess a supernatural physiology that enhances their physical attributes, especially their senses and reflexes, which are so sharp that they can react to things almost before they happen, even things out of their line of sight.

I apologize for the latest chapter taking so long; I try to publish at least one chapter a month, but this arc, while interesting, hasn't spurred my creative side, thus my procrastination
