They shook their heads. It was obvious that I was losing them. Still, our goal was to gain our cutie marks, and we had to see the mission through together. I couldn’t let them abandon me in my time of need. I had to—make them stay in the water!
Why do they have to stay in the water?

Probably just her being obsessive but still super sus.
We were finally doing our mission! Perhaps I wasn’t a complete failure after all. Maybe I could still accomplish something if I forced it hard enough.
Ouch! That is relatable AF I’ve had so many days were I felt like Sweetie feels here and it’s almost a too real paragraph.
Nothing was amiss! My head shook and I lost the trail of thought. When I looked at Apple Bloom and Scootaloo, I saw both friends drifting away from me.
Ah eyes denial the first step in any heroes journey when something is definitely wrong.
Chapter 17:
It felt as if there was a presence all around me and even within me. Surely, such wasn’t the case. There was nopony in my room when I looked around to inspect it. I only saw my sorry self. Obviously, I was alone. It was stupid of me to feel as if I was being watched. Nopony was there with me!

A terrifying thought glinted in my mind, What if the world ran out of coffee and everypony will sleep for a thousand years? I gasped in horror at the realization but quickly made up an outlandish excuse why Ponyville seemed deserted. The sun wasn’t up yet and nopony was out because it was too early.

why would you ever condemn the world to such a thought.
“Hehe!” was the last thing I heard before the head leaned over me.
Finally we are getting to the nitty gritty of this tale!
Chapter 18:
“Yes, sidewalks will do that to you. Also puddles, nettles and rooftops for some reason. Uh! Uh! I know—have you tried sleeping in your bed yet?”
You are writing Pinkie really well so far

*Pulls up the X-Files theme at plays it at max volume*
I felt two forelegs leaning on my back. She touched me!
Again you’re choice of wording makes me feel very uncomfortable and think of a pedo.
I really hope you don’t go that way with Pinkie….
….her being a murderer or a drug addiction is much more palatable since you said they all have a dark side/ dark secret.
“Anyway, I waved him hi by flapping my tail high above my croup and said I was Pinkie Pie, but he merely stared at my waving tail then said, “Odd Case”. That’s an odd name for a pony, I thought. But then I figured I could call him OC, which is short for Odd Case and it’s just so fun to say it. OC!”

I can’t with this chapter it’s so funny and proves to me theirs a reason Pinkie is my favorite of the main 6!
“Anymore!” She loudly whispered.
Her eyes piercing into me with the intensity of a pony who had seen millions of nation rise and fall as she spoke before she snapped back to her normal Pinkie smile.
Sorry couldn’t help but to imagine this line. Lol 
“Oh, it’s just over that hill.” She pointed a hoof in the direction. “It has a giant boulder on top of the entrance. You can’t miss it. However, if you see the Castle of Two Sisters, it means you missed the spot and went too far. There are some tentacled remains there that can be loads of fun if used in the right way. Technically, they are vines, but I call them tenties because they’re super prehensile. You might want to miss those; I would if I were you. In fact, I miss them already...”

You have to read between the lines a bit. Sweetie Belle loved intimate touches at the start. But now she constantly feels invaded and overcompensates. Something has changed.
There's actually a whole separate story about the OC. This was a reference to that.
