Heyo guys!
Yes, been a while since the last update, but a lot has happened since then, and I had time to think.

Anywho, King: The Beginning was my first big break as a story writer, and it holds a special place in my heart. I still recall when I first put out the first chapter, and how I had prepared three chapters ahead of time because I was going to Poland. I released it early in the morning before I drove off to go to the bus, and when I got to the bus, the story was featured! 
I'm sure you can imagine the high I felt, and on the bus ride, I kept refreshing my phone to see more comments, more favorites, and more likes! Needless to say, I was in a pretty awesome mood by the time the ferry arrived in Germany from Denmark. 
All in all, this story has pushed me and pushed me, giving me a taste of getting a story of the ground, and getting a nice community about it. I still get questions when I will update it, still get people who have ideas, and that's awesome! 
Sadly though, I think it was too much too fast. It has been over a year since the last update, and I feel stuck with the latest chapter. I've lost count how many times it has been rewritten, edited, and thrown around my computer. 
It sucks, because I've not lost interest in the story itself, but I've found myself in a hole. I think the story I had in mind, the way I wanted to go with it, was a task too large and too big for my skill set at the time. You can see that in the story before that, Fallen Knight, too much too fast, and I've learned a lot of lessons from that story. 
The biggest lesson I took from that story is the heart is getting in the way of the mind, and it is a story I'm not too proud of, despite a lot of people liking it. 
I see those problems in King: The Beginning, and I've found it impossible to focus on moving forward. 
So what happens now? Does it mean the story is dead? No, not at all. 
I am considering canceling it and rebooting it. Looking back, there are a lot of things I would have loved to have covered, a lot of things I would like to change. I feel like I owe this story to finish it, and I want to, but I want to plan the story out more, fix the issues, and start again. 
I know this sucks, and I know some people might be pissed and annoyed that I'm starting again, which will take time. But I think this is the right decision for this story, and I think it is the best one. I want to finish this story, and I want to be done right, finishing it with a blast!
So yes, here is an update, I'll be starting planning, and I'll rerelease the story when I'm able.

Since it's a reboot. Would it be ok if could message you an idea or two that you might like?
I haven't read the original, but I've had it in my 'read later' section. Just saw that it was cancelled and read about the reboot. I think it'd be better if I just wait for the first chapter of said reboot, whenever it happens. I'll be keeping my eyes peeled...

Dang, when I saw the cancelled status I was very concerned and sad. Glad to hear it's just the DDASH planning on improving the story as a whole.
You've got a lot of good stories DanishDash, but the "King: The Beginning" has always been the story I was most, emotionally attached to.
I think I used the phrase "got me by the tenterhooks". The style of writing, the way scenes were shown, the small but key details that were left unspoken (...at least that's how remember it), it was all just flawless.
Can't believe it's been a year since the last update was released for this story.
