Today I am feeling great shame..
I am proud to be a Dane, proud of my history, proud of the bonds we formed in the world.
Today however I feel ashamed, not over my country as such, but ashamed over the powers that govern these lands. We are a nation bound to the laws as written, securing the rights of our people, and letting the voices of the crowd be heard. We are by all accounts a democracy.
But a grave sin has been committed by those in office. Let it be known that fear must never guide your actions, or a nation. It was this fear and arrogance that have caused the slaughter of animals in the most barbaric way possible. Caused the loss of jobs, and a great industry.
A mutation of the corona virus was found on minks, in order to combat this mutation it was ordered to kill every single mink on the mink farms. If done so, a bonus would be paid out to the farmers. This bonus will not come, it turns out the mutation was nothing serious, and our government never had the authority to order these killings to begin with.
The killings themselves were handled by an outside workforce, and it was not done pain free. Some of these animals were bashed, literally ripped mid over while still alive, and put in cages with dead as well as living minks.
The government has lied, our prime minister has lied, and people's lives have been destroyed. Needless cruelty against animals has been committed, and the pictures coming out are the stuff of nightmares.
Every single one who has made this happen should be arrested, which should include the prime-minister, who has acted like a spoiled brat on national television. She's a disgrace to the office she holds, and she should be punished for having broken the law.
At the very least she should have the decency to step down, and hold election, and most of all not claim her public office pension paid for by the taxpayer.
That of course will not happen...
Ignorance is not an excuse, an industry gone, jobs lost, animals killed needlessly, and in a cruel way I might add.
This is not Denmark, this is not who we are, and this should never have happened. No one is above the law, being a simple nobody like me, or the prime-minister herself.
Justice needs to be fulfilled!

We have trouble in Norway too, this concern the Norwegian football team, they aren't allowed to play in another country just because one player have the virus. Is not as big as killing a Mink, ours is just stupid.

At least you aren’t in America. People are saying it’s the “third wave” of the virus right now. Nope. Not true. It’s all been the same wave; just spread out because we’re too stupid to actually try and do something about it...
Also, I’m not trying to compare problems. I’m just saying that right now, all around the world, people are suffering, (from the virus and other issues) and the countries’ governments aren’t necessarily doing anything to help, just hurt and make it worse. Some are trying to help, some are intentionally trying not to help, and yet they still suffer the same issues. We are truly living in some turbulent times.
I’m horrified to what has happened.
But if your not proud of your country move to Ireland, it’s probably the most peaceful country in Europe, in my opinion.

It is kind of you, and I have no doubt I would feel quite at home in Ireland, but I still love my own country dearly, and could never think to sever the ties. Here I was born, and it is here I shall end my days.
I am ashamed of what our lying sack of goblin turds of a prime minister has done, but I'm proud we Danes are not afraid of facing it and demand justice. She is just being an idiot, and therefore should be removed with all great haste.
Things will get better, I know it. If nothing else, we Danes are good getting through hard times. Though if I ever get to Ireland, you can buy me a pint. ;)

Where I'm from FIFA themselves banned my country from playing in the world cup because our former football president steal some money a few years ago and when we elected a new president who is trying to fix the mess our old president did FIFA came out of nowhere an banned us form competing.
