August 2020 Update · 1:37am Sep 2nd, 2020

It's already September, so it's high time to post this year's August update.

There isn't much to report on the writing front other than that the sequel to Pamasak-Butas has been chugging along and is now close to publication (hopefully within the week). After that, with perhaps a couple chapters for The Little Curiosities, I'll jump right back into revising Their Darker Purpose for the second revision pass as soon as possible within the month.

As for how my writing will fare for September and the rest of the year: I may still keep up with this unusually high pace, I may not. University classes begin again soon although they are online classes. I'll wait and see. Either way, I wish I'll have more things to say about my writing by the end of September than two paragraphs.

My reading list has also dried up a bit due to working on summer finals early in the month, but I got right back in with two things:

  • Rainbow Dash's Unstoppable Ego by MagicS. I've been reading MagicS's stories for a long while, and they've become a regular staple for me. I don't have much else to say other than that it's a good story, maybe even an Austraeoh-lite.

  • Managing in the Next Society by Peter F. Drucker. While outdated by almost two decades, this management-advice book feels half-prophetic written by an almost-ninety-year-old man with great acumen in the business field. Knowledge being inter-disciplinary, the outsourcing of a company's many aspects save for top management, and the means of production being closely tied to knowledge (if not being knowledge), and a civic sphere in society—these and more I've gleaned from Mr. Drucker's book here.

That'd be all for now. Have a good day!
