February 2024 Update, Part 2: [MANTUA]'s Prelude, Balk's Aftermath, and the In-Betweens · 9:45am February 29th
So far, I've been adjusting my time management methods over the past two weeks, so honestly, I really can't tell you off the top of my head a good list of what I've been reading. I can remember touching upon the following: MagicS's Applejack at the Edge of the World, Warpony72's EaW: From Front to Front, James A. Michener's Caribbean, Louis Berkhof's The History of Christian Doctrines, str8aura's The Last Days of Twilight Sparkle, KorenCZ11's Gratitude, EileenSaysHi's Vice, and Flashgen's and Seer's Tomorrow Was Beautiful and The Way Out respectively.
As for writing, it's slowed down a bit in favor of brainstorming two upcoming stories: after talking to friends, I've decided to tackle [MANTUA], which is the Trixie-in-the-victorious-Tirek-timeline-from-the-Season-5-finale fic, as well as sluggish but hopefully consistent outlining for [VOYNICH] (Princess Cadance in a Nightmare Moon-victorious timeline). I have a very off-the-cuff summary of what to do for [MANTUA], while for [VOYNICH], I do fear that bloat a la Magical Curiosity might come in since it will be the first long-running (or totally-not-a-short-story) fic I'll be publishing here in... over five years? Wow, that's long.
Speaking of writing... in lieu of afterthoughts from years ago, I just have a few scattered things about Balk now that it's been out for some time. Bullet point format since I think it's the easiest way to put it out, if not the easiest way to read it.
- Is the first fic from the whole Season-5-finale saga I have to be published, by God's grace. It does feel good that the ball is rolling.
- Put Chapter 5's title in a search bar with quotation marks and you'll get this. I do realize the irony, given the contents of the chapter.
...hmm, I should have more afterthoughts for the next story, at least.
