Dan Vs. Ships of the Terran Empire · 3:03pm Jul 31st, 2020

Dan has always been a man who has wanted to change the world. Sometimes, he even wants to change it for the better. Being so connected with his own show, I thought it appropriate for Dan to do battle with not just another show but an entire series. The world of Star Trek has always presented a vision of the future for mankind, a future of progress and achievement for mankind. Star Trek's mirror universe is a dark reflection of that progress, one where humanity has kept its more barbaric traits and uses them to conquer the galaxy.

In Dan Vs., the mirror Dan played an integral role in both the mirror of Earth and Mirror Equestria. The real Dan and company were even briefly captured and held in the Mirror Universe. They barely escaped that encounter with their lives, but the Mirror Universe is not yet done with Dan and friends.

The fall of the Solar Empire has paved the way for the rise of the Terran Empire. And unlike the traditional Terran Empire from Star Trek, this new Terran Empire has knowledge of magic.

The flagship of the First Expansionary Fleet, the I.S.S. Aggressor is considered one of the most famed, feared and valuable vessels in the Terran Empire. Originally developed to deal with uprisings closer to the Terran core worlds, the ship has since endured many tours of duty, conquests, rebellions and even coups against the Emperor/Empress, the latter of which she has been involved with on both sides. Although an older vessel, the Aggressor is seen as a symbol of Imperial might and dominance, and as such has been significantly upgraded with the latest advancements in the Empire, including torture booths and a particularly menacing ICH.

While the ship has survived long service with the Terran Empire, the same cannot be said of its crew. The honor to serve aboard the Aggressor is hotly contested, and the Empire's tradition of murderous advancement is more prevalent here than on other ships. Indeed, it's not uncommon for a campaign to begin with one officer in command only for it to end with another as captain, and celebrations can entail yet another fatal exchange of rank. It is because of this that the Emperor/Empress themselves assigned an Imperator's Control Hologram to the ship that can take over the vessel at any time, giving complete control to the throne. It is suspected, however, that the ICH may have ambitions of his own.

The Terran Empire's hunger for conquest and control is absolute. With their own universe firmly under their control, the Empire now seeks to bring its ruthless order to Dan's universe and has dispatched considerable numbers of ships and crews to accomplish this. Their numbers, weapons and ruthless tactics make them some of the most dangerous foes Dan has ever faced. Despite their daunting prowess and undeniable dominance, they are not invincible, and perhaps the I.S.S. Aggressor is the key to bringing the Empire to its knees, or at least, to the negotiating table.

The Aggressor remains a formidable threat to Dan and the crew of the Danfiant, as the gold-painted vessel regularly leads incursions into Equestrian space. Its raids are mostly meant to disrupt and instill fear among the pony populace, forcing Dan to make sinking the Aggressor a top priority. Although Dan himself is inexperienced and at a disadvantage with his own vessel, his unorthodox nature may prove the key into finally taking down a ship that is proving to be almost as big a jerk as he is.

Torture booths when they have mind copying medical transporters?

Helm? Why are all weapons firing?

Its the Agressor Captain, They just dopped out of warp.

Ah, carry on then. Ill leave you to negotiations while I go see if the canteen has a Tholian Fruitcake.:pinkiehappy:

Negotiations consisting of full spread quantum torpedoes, deflector dish shenanigans and if that goes wrong, using the tractor beam to create a distraction and retreat.

Can we have something other than space spider fruitcake? How about some nice Klingon kebabs, a hearty Bajoran salad and a Talaxian root beer mixed with ketracel orange? For dessert, Vulcan pound cake.

Pound Cake?.. Only if Pumpkin Cake can accidentally dial up Cthuluu on the enemies DialAPizza App. :pinkiehappy:

I was misled by the blog title! I thought this was going to be about evil Dan dating the daughter of that barber in a secret, virtuous resistance group of barbers, trying to overthrow the evil Terran empire from within.

Stats on the mirror universe version of the Enterprise are pretty awesome though.

Do you mean the Aggressor? She's actually not the mirror Enterprise; she's her own ship. And well, Mirror Dan is... unavailable for obvious reasons. Where exactly did you come up with the barber idea from? It's so random that I might have to use this.

I keep forgetting I'm planning on giving Dan and the gang mustaches so they can be fancy and mustache-y.

Ah. I thought from context the Aggressor had to be the mirror Enterprise, since she's the flagship of the Terran fleet and the Enterprise is the flagship of Starfleet.

The barber's daughter I thought of because that's the only girl Dan is "shipped" with in Dan Vs, and her dad is part of an evil secret society of barbers. So I figured in the mirror universe this would be a good secret society.

Mustaches are always cool, and they work well with a plot involving barbers, good barbers will trim your mustache!

Oh you mean ships as in shipping! I see now. To be honest, I wasn't going to have any shipping in my story to begin with; shipping and romance aren't even in the tags. But people seemed to want Dan to end up with Chrys so I wanted to treat them. Same reason Dan is, or at least was a fan of Trixie is because fans wanted it. I listen to my fans, what few I have and do my best for them. Dan and Chrys are going to end up an item because even though I didn't intend it originally, I have to say it really works.

The ISS Enterprise is spoken for, though. It's to tie the story in with STO a little bit more. In that game, Admiral Leeta has stolen the Enterprise-F and is trying to conquer the multiverse with it, so it seems. The Aggressor is the flagship of the First Expansionary Fleet while the mirror Enterprise is the flagship of the Terran Empire.

In Dan Vs., the Terran Empire has conquered its own universe and is very, very formidable. Season 2 is about Dan and friends against the former king and queen, the search for purpose and the conflict between freedom and power. Season 3 is about change and progress and will feature a lot of the characters from season 2, which I'm adding. The Terran Empire in this story are basically an entire civilization of jerks and bullies. Themes of change, tradition, foundation and progress are highlighted. And of course, as I've said before, Season 0 is a prequel season with 12 episodes about Dan's initial conflict and has Dan Vs. Twilight, Dan Vs. Applejack and etc. Chrys is actually the antagonist in that, which makes it more adorable when she falls in love with him in season 1.
