A note: Do NOT call your mom if she is an evil, horrible, abusive person who does not deserve your time of day. A holiday does not mean you need to cause yourself strife and emotional harm, just to fulfill some societal obligation. You come first, no matter what the name of today is.
And also, a gentle thought to mothers no longer with us. They are remembered, and they are missed.
