EDIT: Consensus reached. Shadow of a Doubt shall be known as such for now and until the end of time.
So what's the consensus on name changes for fics? I mean, I know it's allowed, but how do readers feel about it? Shadow of a Doubt was kind of a spur of the moment thing, and though it's grown on me since, I've recently been struck with an even better name. One that's essentially been in the story's description the whole time.
Solace in Starlight.
Aren't I a clever one, completely missing that prime opportunity?
I haven't solidified my opinion on changing it yet, but that name does feel much more fitting, but Shadow of a Doubt just feels like more like the story now, you know? What do you all think, which name would you guys prefer?

I do like 'Solace in Starlight' but 'Shadow of a Doubt' relates more to what's happening now, especially the last chapter that was posted.
I mean... I like the name Shadow of a Doubt personally...

Thank you for the input! It's actually somewhat relieving to see that the story's current name is liked, because I'm actually a bit attached to the name myself.
I mean the other idea felt clever but also why fix what's not broken, right?

Somehow not sure if that fits this story as well, but I do like that one too. Might need to save that for another story...
At the moment, the current name seems to be winning out though, which actually makes things a bit easier.
I'd say stick with the original title as it just gives the story its overall feel. (Plus hey, you could always just save that second title for a possible sequel down the line if the fancy ever strikes ya.
