Interview with Everfree Pony

“Alright, now tell me my dear friend, what inspired your username?
Response: Well, I have always liked the Everfree Forest for how unique it was, compared with the rest of Equestria, so I wanted to express that’s what I’m gonna write about. And I’m a pony at heart, hence the name. Also, I usually go just by ‘Ever’—couldn’t have chosen a more punable nick... except for ‘Free’.
“What drew you into Mlp?
Response: Funnily enough, it was the MLP Gameloft game I downloaded out of idle boredom. And I was just curious what’s the story behind it, so I gave the show a try… and here are I am a few years later, worshipping little pastel horses.
“Who is your favorite pony and why?
Response: Raven Inkwell, Celestia’s secretary. I feel she is such a neglected character despite the liberties and advantages of interpreting her role and character as you see fit.
“Favorite episode and why?”
Response: Oh, this is a tough one. Most of the episodes I’d choose would fall into seasons 2 or 3, probably the most lore-rich era of the show. I think that is (or used to be) a good thing about the show—it didn’t stand or fall on a few good episodes.
“What inspires you to write?”
Response: I like to say that the molecule of inspiration just hits my brain sometimes, a quote borrowed from Terry Pratchett’s works. But to be fair, I also feel obliged to finish the stories because of the characters I had thrown in. They just deserve to reach the end.
“Give us the background of the author! Tell us all about you. Well in a short summary.
Response: Well, I’m an entomologist by profession, as well as a part-time editor and translator. And if there is some free time left, I either travel, tutor children or explore long abandoned sewers and mines despite my damaged knees. So, living life to the fullest.

“Is there anything else you'd like to say?
Response: I tend to serve as a jack of all trades around the site. So, if anyone ever needs anything, be it art, a bit of writing advice, or just a friendly word in dire situation, I’m your mare :)
