Nightshine Grows Impatient · 9:07pm May 11th, 2019
Nightshine growled as she stalked her prey, her hoofsteps barely making a sound as she crept down the hallway. A single light illuminated the room, sitting off to the side of the man she sought revenge on. The sounds of typing on a keyboard filled the room as her prey worked, blissfully unaware of her presence. Her tail swished back and forth as she readied herself to lunge, spreading her wings wide and baring her fangs. She couldn't help but let out a soft hiss, and at that moment, she knew she was about to lose the element of surprise.
"Yaah!" Nightshine leapt forward and bit down on the man's arm, though she was surprised when he lifted her up to eye level.
"Need something, little one?" the man asked with a soft, tender smile.
Nightshine nodded, a grin forcing itself upon her lips. She knew her fangs weren't sharp enough to pierce his skin, but it was the thought that counted. The man pulled her up a bit higher, then set her down on his lap. Nightshine let go of his arm as she ruffled her wings, her tail falling down the other side of his legs. "Why haven't you been writing more of my story?" she asked, poking him in the chest with the tip of her wing. "It's been almost a year! Stop being lazy!" she screamed. "Your readers need more fluff and I need more snuggles!"
"B-But I-"
"No!" Nightshine said, cutting him off. "You. Write. Now!" She pointed at the keyboard, then clambered up onto the desk. She pushed aside all of his papers, then promptly curled up facing him. "And I'll be right here to help you!" she said, smiling as he scratched her behind the ears, just how she liked.
"Oh, very well, if you say so," the man said with a chuckle. "So tell me, what should the next chapter be about, little one?"
"Snuggles! You're going to publish my story into a book, right?"
"Oh, but of course."
