Okay, so I came up with an idea for something I wanna do for my story. See, I love Persona, and I feel it's one of the best video game series out there, as it's not only fun, but also kind relevant to our society.
I'm writing Persona 6: REM with the intention of emulating an honest to God Persona story, but as such, I realize that a lot of themes are kind of hard to process. What exactly is a Persona? What is a Shadow? How are the two related to one another? What the f*ck is the Phase? What is the Velvet Room? Why are the characters referencing the tarot? How can someone like Diamond Tiara represent the Priestess Arcana? What's the significance of the Fool Arcana and it's powers of unlimited potential? How is ANY of this possible in the world beyond just "it's anime", because yes there IS an explanation for what's going on. One that's actually pretty grounded in reality if you look at it a certain way.
Well, I think I want to help bridge the gap, so to add another layer to both mine and The Shadow Brony's stories, I'm going to start using my blog to explain some of the themes and backstory of the games.
Now, I will warn you, this will go into spoiler territory of some things in the games for those who want to play them. Now, if you do want to play them, ignore these blog posts until you do, but keep in mind that Persona games are looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong and hard as fuck, but if you want to more or less cheat and understand more of what the hell is going on without needing to spend 80+ hours on each main entry, then stay tuned.

Some aspects of Persona are metaphorical and literal at the same time; a Persona is a facade to face life's hardships, but it can also be classified as a Shadow that has been tamed by humans with special awareness, AKA Persona-users, Shadows are the lower part of the psyche that quite a few humans refuse to acknowledge that is a part of them, and when people truly refuse to accept themselves, the Shadows break loose, free from all control.
