So, good news and bad news.
Or just 'news' for those that don't like those arbitrary terms.
There will not be a new entry in the Something Sweet to Bite series this year. This is not to say I am not working on a new entry. Far from it. As some of you may know already from asking me I do have another Candy Mare story in mind and I've already written a few chapters for it. However, those chapters are in no condition to be posted as of yet, and I'm not going to put out a product i'm less than proud of just to meet the arbitrary deadline of Halloween.
As such your Nightmare night will be regrettably Candy Mare-less this year.
However, that does not mean that your candy buckets will be completely empty as I do plan on finishing the short story Ouija that I started almost six months ago!
The story is sitting at five chapters now and I have written another five chapters, including the finale for the story. Expect the first of those new chapters to be posted sometime later tonight or tomorrow and the following chapters to be released over the course of the next week leading up to Halloween Night. There are plenty of twists, turns, and mysteries to be solved, so look forward to it!
In the meantime, I would like to take this opportunity to promote the release of a custom Candy Mare Plush that is now available on etsy, a potion of each sale of which I will receive a small part. OK i just want to ask you to clarify something, Candy Mare is actually Pumpkin patch as in what we know as the candy mare is actually the bad part of Pumpkin, the good one sacrificing herself in order to stop her in that failed attempt in The last something sweet to bite. If not it means that i just made a weird head canon for the series

Not really related to this post, but okay.
Pumpkin Patch was the candy curses first host. As such she shaped a lot of what would come to be known as 'the Candy Mare's' personality.
The Candy Mare has not been Pumpkin Patch since she was first defeated by Luna. While Pumpkin Patch was sealed up in the statues of Luna, the candy curse started to develop independence and search for a new body, eventually settling on making a body for itself out of the cursed candy that the cutie mark crusaders inadvertently made.
So it's less that the 'good part' of Pumpkin sacrificed herself and 'the bad part' of Pumpkin is the Candy Mare and more like the Candy Mare has all of the mannerisms and attitude of Pumpkin after she was tortured by Lemon Drop and died in his basement. The Candy Mare is her own creature now but still heavily influenced by the first person she was attached to.
Too bad about "SStB," but glad about "Ouija." Can't wait to see what happens next.
We shall wait another year in the darkness, waiting for the return of the beloved Candy Incarnate.

Well, the plushie represents whatever you want it to represent. A toy is more about the emotions you project on it.
So if you want to think of it as the original Pumpkin Patch Candy Mare you can or you can think of her as the later version, or even the version that bonded with Rainbow Dash or Sunset Shimmer.
As she exists in the story now though, Pumpkin Patch’s soul is at peace but the Candy Mare carries on her rage and pain.

It’s a custom plush, so if it were on eBay, someone would have had to buy it and then put it on sell second hand. These were not mass produced as far as I know, so if you wanted one you would probably have to contact the guy who makes them by hand and have him make one from scratch for you.
