Would anyone be interested in proof reading and editing some of my stories?
I’m really tired of all of the ‘it’s an interesting story but all these grammatical errors!’ comments.
The implication now is that I am just too lazy to proof read myself but if you knew the months I spend on everything I write, pouring over every chapter over and over, you’d realize that I am just wholly incapable of doing this task myself thanks in part to computer illiteracy and an American education. (Yes I’ve tried to use grammar check programs, they’ll highlight a problem without offering a solution - my own ignorance hampers my ability to use the tools available to me.) I don’t think admitting my limitations is laziness when I only write these stories for fun periodically and have a full time day job and family to care for, but apparently I am.
So long story short, I have no friends who are interested in doing this for me and I have crippling social anxiety when it comes to asking anyone directly to please help me, so just putting a general call out that if anyone would want to do the job you’d be more than welcome to.
I would be MORE than happy to help. I always enjoy proofreading stuff.
