Just a progress update for all you lovely patient people. I'm over being sick, the stupid Release Weekend is almost done, and I'm on track again. There will be an update of Featherfall. I'm realising more and more how much of an ensemble cast this story has become. I'll be honest, it's taken even me a bit by surprise.
Bit by bit as I'm writing these girls I've found their voices ringing clear in my head. I'm sure a lot of people have their favorites of the non-Sunset/Gilda characters, I know there's a lot of love for Grizelda out there, specifically. Plenty of people have confessed that they were expecting to hate 'Pawnee' only to encounter Grizelda and fall a little bit in love with her right alongside Twilight. Personally, I actually love writing Octavia and Vinyl, they're almost symbiotic, rarely one without the other as they support each other to the point of me wishing I'd written a story for them, too. I feel like it would be fun to write their little love story one day.
Of course, writing Adagio, Aria, and Sonata is an endless source of fun, too. Even in my head they're always bickering, but in a friendly, familial way. Sort of like the way three sisters in their fifties or sixties would playfully snipe at each other.
This next chapter is going to be heavily Gilda/Sunset centric, which I'm sure everyone will be happy about. Having such a large cast, though, does mean that a certain amount of attention will drift away from the 'main' couple because, frankly, it would be a criminal waste of characters not to give Zee and Sci-Twi some screen time. They really are Gilda and Sunset's relationship given a dark reflection.
Anyways, thank you again, everyone, for being patient with me. Let's get back to the story!
