Okay, so I've reached a little over 4.5k words on the newest chapter of Moon and Magic, but I'm not sure if I should continue it or just send it to my editor then submit it. I had planned for Twilight to meet Cadance in this chapter, but I'm thinking maybe I should hold it off for the next one. I'm unsure of which is a better option so I'm asking you guys. I'm starting to lean towards the latter option, but I want to hear your opinions.
Twilight should meet Cadence later. For now, you should focus on how Twilight and the five other mares who are going to be the elements of harmony are going to meet.

honestly I think you should do what you feel is best, I wouldn't mind either or. However I feel like if your going to introduce her to cadence she should meet shinning too of course right? or maybe there's a build up to that.... I don't know. I'm just spitting ideas out at this point.
I’d say if you’ve hit a good break point turn it in. If you feel it would be an awkward stopping point push on till you hit a good one.

Well as it is, it would be a good stopping point. The next chapter I could probably build upon the family aspect. I can probably have chapter 3 focus on Twilight interacting with Cadance and Celestia... I don't know, but I think it would an best to cap character 2 and have chapter three continue where it left off.

Kinda hard to say without seeing the chapter. Do whatever you feel would best benefit the story.
With how close I've been following this story (despite me somehow being late to this blog), I'd love to contribute my own opinion to this, but you really haven't given me enough info to come to any sort of proper conclusion. Twilight meeting Cadance would certainly be interesting, but what would come in the chapter before that? Would it be better for there to be a little cliffhanger? Would the chapter drag on forever if she meets Cadance? You simply haven't given us any plans, so it's really impossible to tell.
Though going off of the numbers, I'd say 4.5k is a going point to stop a chapter. That, and I have been looking forward to another chapter, but that's me being impatient.
In other words - if you're not gonna spoil anything, publish it now/soon. That's what I think.

Fair point I wish I could give people more information on the chapter, but I know most don't like spoilers. I have a small circle who see them in the prosses, but it's really small like 2-3 people. One of them likes everything I write, the other just edits, and the last one's opinions are hardly useful if not downright destructive... maybe I should expand my circle a bit.

If you want to get some more opinions on stuff like this, I might suggest PM-ing some users who you have constantly had contact with, and asking them to do it. I'm sure you'd be able to find some people, myself included (I really don't care that much about spoilers. I reread almost everyhitng I can get my hands on anyway).
Other than that, all you can do is look around for editors and stuff in groups.

Probably a good idea. I do think it's a good idea of having an "inner circle" of prereaders and editors. If you want you could be part of it, but you would have to promise not to talk about it outside of my "inner circle".
