So the Sunset Shipping Contest: Journeys is already underway.
And there's been some significant upgrades to the prize pool.
Thanks to some incredibly generous donations, who wish to remain anonymous, we are bumping up the prize pool to include 5 winners.
1st Place: $225 (And first pick at a commission)
2nd place: $175 (And second pick at a commission)
3rd place: $125
4th place: $75
5th place: $50
Additionally, each honorable mention will be $20.
But wait, there's more!
I will be compiling the 5 winners of this contest, alongside the 3 winners of the last contest, into a print copy / short story collection, to be made available for purchase on Lulu*. (At cost, no profit to me.)
*With permission from the authors in question
Each winner will receive a copy of the collection in addition to their other prizes.
So uh, I hope you are all ready to ship the hell out of Sunset, because this is probably the best damn bribe this site has ever seen.
Might I recommend changing the title of this contest to the "Poor Starving Writer's Contest"?
But a print copy? This intrigues me. I was unaware you could do that so easily. Is it easy? Is it something you have to do in bulk? Are we talking about actual books or something printed off and slapped together and called a book? Because let me tell you, I'd love to create print copies of some of my stories just for the sake of having them on my bookshelves and maybe sharing them with a friend/ family member or two.

https://www.lulu.com/ is the site of choice for many fimfic authors who want to give their fans a chance to purchase print copies of their fics (at no profit to the author, just to be safe-ish). It's print-on-demand, so there's no need to do print runs and stuff like that. The process is rather simple, requiring only a properly-formatted pdf of your story (just don't get funny with the fonts or else you might end up with a similar issue as iisaw did with The Celestia Code) and a cover image for the book. From there, you can either choose to allow only yourself to purchase a print, or share the link and let anyone purchase a copy.
iisaw, Ether Echoes, and Crystal Wishes/Anzel have all made copies of their fics available for purchase on Lulu, so you might be able to bother one of them for tips.
EDIT: here are some pictures of books from Lulu, so you can get a sense of the quality: https://www.fimfiction.net/blog/650533/print-versions-of-my-fanfics

I'm down with this. Maybe when my money gets right I can make a try at it. I'd love to have a copy of Bulletproof Heart or Audience of One on my bookshelves.

If you do Audience of One, I'd love it if you made the link public. I wouldn't mind having a copy of that on my own shelves.

I'll certainly keep that in mind. But honestly, I can't think of any reason not to make them public.
