The Life and Times of Amber Spark!

    Hello, my long-lost friends!

So, you’re probably wondering what the flipping heck happened to me. After all, the last real post I did, aside from the money stuff and a Hearth’s Warming post, was apparently 82 weeks ago, in September of 2021.

Looking for Some Help With Top/Bottom Surgery!

Hey folks! I know it's been forever and I promise I'll provide an update on where everything is in the near future. But today, I'm gonna ONCE AGAIN ask for financial help. And this one is only for me. I'm not going to use my girls or anything to try and guilt you into helping. Moving on past that BS.

    Hearth's Warming Thoughts 2021

I know a lot of you have friends and family to be with this holiday. I also know a lot of you are struggling this holiday with (sometimes former) friends and family who refuse to accept you for who you are. I know I am. Some of you are alone in a room, some of you are alone in a crowd. And some of you have people who accept you.

Everfree Northwest 2018: Friends, Magic and Connections - Day 2 - Saturday · 8:36pm May 27th, 2018

The alarm went off again at 7:15… and again I didn’t drag myself out of bed until 7:30. But, I had to make it in time to get my seat with the Jurists for breakfast at Dave’s! But this time, we got a bonus! I ran into BlazzingInfero and Epic Yarn on their way down to breakfast and invited them along! Silver Flare joined us before too long as well, which was fun. They guy’s hysterical, even if he needs to learn to be social in a Discord server.

Silver Flare in all his “glory”

Protip: Panoramas are hard to do with moving subjects

We also learned that Dave’s has the best diner waitresses in the world. To the point where she told someone “Sweet Tea stops at Colorado, hun.” She was pretty fantastic.

Con Wanderings, Day 2!

We tried to make it to the episode showing, but we ran about 10 minutes late and decided to skip it in favor of a group Vendor Hall Experience!

Mono getting her epic Harwick’s EL Art signed!

We also stumbled into Adge & Company and… to my utter shock… found her with Sparkling Sapphire as a freaking plushie!

In case you didn’t know, Sparkling Sapphire is the next-gen daughter of her SciTwi and Sunset Shimmer. And she’s adorable. Jamie—better known as Joules on Tumblr—made the damn thing!

Anyway, as for me, I didn’t actually get a lot at the con. I got a single print for Ashleigh Ball to sign for the fillies, a bunch of buttons, a couple keychains and then a bunch of Con Merch. OF COURSE, apparently Ebon struck around this time and bought a bunch of stuff for people. I’ll show you that stuff later!

Iron Author

Before the Iron Author event, Albi, Mono and I headed up to the Community Guest Room. Albi was working there on releasing the next chapter of Spectacular Seven, while Mono and I were just chatting, talking about some of the authors we liked or didn’t really like. Some ideas for stories and just… chatted! We were lucky, too, because lunch happened to come in around that time!

Mono and Albi both actually almost bowed out… but they managed to basically challenge each other to the point of IMMA BEAT YOU (which, I have to say, is hysterical). In fact, when I walked into the Iron Author competition, there were 40 people, including a vast majority of my writing friends!

Now, since I am part of the Writing Staff, I couldn’t participate. And honestly, I didn’t need the stress. Also, it’s not my style to rush a story in two hours. Andddd… I didn’t wanna.

I may have also sent Mono a message as I left saying “Good luck, kick his tail!”

Please note BlazzingInferno & his wife, Epic Yarn, cosplaying as Mr. & Mrs. Cake.

I may have also sent Albi a message as I left saying “Good luck, kick her tail!”

...yup.

Apparently Jyki almost made a comment about Adge, Below_Depth and I creating the Sunset Singularity. I corrected this to include The Albinocorn and Oroboro. That way, the pull is so strong not even sunlight can escape!

But, at least I let Mono steal my noise-canceling headphones for the event.

Autograph Time!

So, after the writers were all hunkered down and testing the capacities of their keyboards, I wandered off. After a short debate, I decided it was time to get my autographs done. Only took about an hour and fifteen minutes. Thankfully, I had Arc there to keep me company for the most part in that hallway.

Ashleigh Ball was the last member of the Mane 6 that I didn’t have a signature for. But my girls and Painted love Rainbow, so I got them a gorgeous picture of Rainbow Dash reading a book on a bed of clouds looking adorable.

I even had Ashleigh sign it directly to my girls and I let her pick the message, which was “You are now 20% Cooler” which I found amusing since I know how she was confused by that catchphrase when she first discovered the fandom.

It wasn’t the greatest time standing in line, but I was more than worth it to see my girl’s eyes when I brought her home to them.

Also, I scored the two EFNW mascot foal plushies for the girls! Sharp Focus on the left, Novella on the right!

It was fun to randomly talk to kids and their parents in line—often to commiserate—but otherwise, a rather quiet hour and a half.

By the time that was done, I tried to figure out where all the Iron Authors had gone so I could hear a few stories about what was written.

Play of the Game: Littlepip?

I eventually found out that most folks headed over to Jack in the Box for an after-Iron-Author snack. I joined them and found Autumn, Swan, Arc, Albi, Corejo, Silver Flare, Hap, Loofa, Oroboro, his brother, Funk and Mono. Sadly, Mono had to head out shortly thereafter, but to my surprise, I stumbled on most of the group trying to figure out how to turn Littlepip into an Overwatch Hero!

We actually had a lot of fun bouncing around ideas, like Littlepip stealing other heroes weapons, a telekinetic thrust ability, using Little Macintosh… all sorts of crazy stuff. It was a good time. We all had a lot of fun with the idea.

Slowly, folks started to trickle back to the hotel. Eventually, I decided to walk with Albi to his next panel… and crash it! After all, I didn’t have anything else to do!

Panel #4: Vexed by Villains

This panel turned out to be a little unexpected. We had Albi, Piquo and Winston with me acting as a sudden random guest. Don’t worry, I didn’t try to steal the spotlight or anything. But we had a few hiccups here and there.

The first question, of course, was what was the favorite villain. We went down the line and since I was at the end, I stared with Starlight. I specifically called her out because I loved that she was a different kind of villain, one with a fundamentally different philosophy than most. We had an ideology difference instead of a basic trying-to-take-over-the-world thing.

I have to say, there was a lot to keep track of in this particular panel. I remember Sunset got called out as both a great villain and an unrealized villain, as was Tirek.

The one odd thing that happened at this panel is that we had members of the audience get in some words about their favorite villians. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m a huge proponent of audience participation (as anyone who’s attended a panel with me can usually attest), but it gets a little awkward when we bring in special panelist (even “crashing” ones) and people we don’t know are talking about their preferences. This actually happened several times during various panels.

I had to jump in a few places here (something I did not enjoy) to redirect a few debates before they really got started and we lost track of our objective.

In fact, when the question “What was your least favorite villain?” I decided that was a sure-fire way to annoy people, so I rephrased it to “villain with an unrealized potential,” which I think came across better, even if I did saw Chrysalis and that apparently brought a few people out to defend her.

I will say that it felt totally wrong to have Somber in the freaking audience instead of up there with us, though apparently, Corejo had a ton of fun with him backseating.

Still, I think overall it was a positive panel. I hope I contributed a lot to it, but it was hard to tell with that one.

NA Larson

Afterwards, I’m fairly sure I got to have a long chat with none other than NA Larson. And yes, I spelled that right. He’s actually one of the major players behind the ongoing support structure of Twilight Sparkle’s Secret Shipfic Folder, a game of which I am a diehard fan of. He was even kind enough to hook me up with a few of the cards I’ve missed over the last couple of panels. We talked about all sorts of things (I think we may have bored Albi to tears at one point).

But I had a great time talking theory, technique, designs and just stories with the guy! It was a fantastic time!

A Quick Dinner with Heartshine

This was a major highlight of my day. I rarely got to spent one-on-one time with anyone really. Don’t get me wrong, I love hanging out with all the people as a group (as I said in my Day 0 example!), but when it’s just one-on-one, it’s a totally different dynamic, you know?

I think I suggested it to Heartshine since neither of us had really had dinner. We went down to the hotel restaurant and both of us got an order of… ugh “Scootaloo Wings” (I’m so sick of the Scootaloo as a Chicken joke). And we had a nice quiet conversation. Just the two of us, talking about real stuff. Like a lot of conversations, I can’t even remember what we talked about specifically, but I do remember it being nice and friendly.

It was just what I needed to give me the final push.

Panel #5: Fallout: Equestria

To my surprise, Heartshine had actually brought Somber back to talk! I was super thrilled about this. After all, while Heartshine may have been active recently with her story Speak, my progress in the realm of F:OE Content as of late has left much to be desired. So, him coming back turned out to be totally awesome for a whole mess of reasons.

And because of that (and the sheer amount of FO:E stuff I kept seeing at the con), I knew this would be a big one.

That being said, I didn’t expect someone to bring a full-sized Incinerator Prop to the freaking panel!

Dead center at the back!

In case you’re wondering, the Incinerator is a weapon from Fallout: New Vegas with the following description…

PIc Courtesy of Corejo

This weapon launches balls of fire which ignite foes from a distance (unlike its sibling, the flamer, which requires the user to be in close proximity of its foe). It's notably different from the heavy incinerator as it has a slower rate of fire, shorter range, and a less potent projectile. It does, however, possess a smaller spread.

I’d also like to point out when the guy wrangled this thing into the room, he put it on the floor pointing squarely at me! I had some minor objections to this and requested he adjust the aim (much to the amusement of the crowd). He proceeded to shift it to the side… and aim it at Somber.

I found I didn’t have a problem with this. :pinkiehappy:

Okay, now, let’s talk about the panel. Of course, we started with basic introductions, with Heartshine running the panel this time (I was really happy she did that. It was nice to take a break and actually fully enjoy myself at a panel).

The entire panel was a hell of a lot of fun. We talked a great deal about Fallout: Equestria - Project Horizons (of course), talked a little bit about Speak and just a tad on Gardens of Equestria.

We talked about a great deal of topics, including some really truthful moments for how we came into the FO:E fandom (I love opening up with “Well, I’m here because I took to a blow to the head!”). Somber struck up a conversation with Kkat one day in an old chat room. As for Heartshine, well, I’ll just quote her.

I was dragged kicking and screaming into FO:E, and started listening to the audiobooks because I had a long drive home from an internship.  I was about halfway through chapter 3 when Littlepip first swears when I realized that listening was a bad idea because I was laughing so hard I nearly rear ended a semi.

We talked about the age of Blackjack, which, according to Somber, is the same age of Twilight Sparkle in the first episode of MLP:FiM. His estimates were 15-16, but I mentioned that show staff had said 17-18, so I suggested that we round it to 18 just to make things nice and legal. (OW! STOP THROWING THINGS AT ME!)

Another aspect we talked about was the fact of the sheer number of FO:E fics out there. Heartshine and Somber both took the time to encourage folks to explore and search out the over 3,000 FO:E-based stories, and some tips on how to find the good ones (favorites for authors you like, or just giving a story a chance!)

We also got the chance to celebrate several members of the printing team behind the hardcover of Fallout: Equestria, who did acknowledge that yes, they know there’s an interest in Project Horizons as a physical book!

A few people asked for advice about the general story of Fallout and near the end of the panel, we had a great conversation about the “Fallout: Equestria Game,” upon which Somber immediately plugged Project Overmare and Ashes of Equestria, which I had to follow up with plugging Gardens of Equestria: This Coming Storm, because, hey, it’s only fair!

Somber, Heart and I also talked about how amazing our editors were (including an editor who’s obsessed with getting rocket science right. No, I’m not kidding.) About how we found our editors (one of his was by a seven-page critique of everything that’s wrong with Project Horizons). I told my story of how I found Cursori, Beltorn, Ebon and Tink. We all talked about how important they are to the process and some suggestions on how to get them (start with readers!).

But more than anything, there was one very special moment for both Somber and I. According to Heartshine, it would have been the moment our Cutie Marks started glowing with the “Map Mission Complete” signal.

A guy in the back right ended up asking a question. He asked how we deal with the confrontation of people when they point out that we’re writing fanfics of a fanfic of a cartoon show for pastel ponies designed to sell toys in the 80s.

I have to say… I’ve only been around Somber a short time, but he seems like a really easy going guy. But when that question got asked, he leaned forward, and I could feel the passion and the fire in his voice. The complete and utter drive. The absolute faith of a freakin’ prophet.

It was an intense moment when he answered.

I’m going to have to paraphrase this, but he said that he definitely had an answer for that. He’s gotten messages from people saying that Project Horizons prevented them from killing themselves, because it gave them hope. It gave them the drive to survive. He’s received like a dozen of them. People have been helped with this story.

Heartshine’s paraphrase:

"I've had readers write to me and tell me that, because of Blackjack and what she survived, that I had saved their lives.  I had people who I didn't know tell me that they had been contemplating suicide, but because Blackjack refused to do it, maybe they shouldn't.  So did I write a million and a half word long story about ponies that will never get published?  Yes.  But I also know that I made a lasting impact on people's lives, and that's a far better answer to the question of whether or not writing the story meant anything."

There was a moment of silence and the the entire room thundered with applause and cheers. And I was among them.

Damn. I’ll admit, I’m not the biggest fan of Project Horizons. That being said, I have nothing but respect for this guy. Anyone who can make that sort of a different… it doesn’t matter if you don’t make a cent. That’s worth it.

Somber’s got his priorities straight.

Heartshine tossed the question at me, then… and believe it or not, I had an answer, too.

I said that Somber talked about the emotional side and I was going to talk about the “practical” side (in retrospect, that’s not the right word. More like… development side? I’m not sure. I didn’t mean it in a derogatory way, but more in a “this is for the mind, this is for the world” thing).

I told them that GoE is my resume. It’s my path to providing a better home for my wife and children. That’s it’s there to progress my career. My writing is leaps and bounds above what it was before I came to FimFiction. I confessed that I have published stories on Kindle and I don’t even want to read them now because I know I can write far better now.

I bounced off of Somber’s idea and said for those dozen who’s contacted him, there are probably three or four dozen more who never said a thing. I told them that this fandom very likely saved my life at a critically dark moment of my life, when I had a friend reach out to me when I needed it most.

I’m a better writer, a better person and a better designer because of this fandom. I’ve seen the change. I talked all about it! And I only hope that I can have half as much impact as Somber did with Project Horizons.

Then I turned to the guy and told him what I felt plainly: “Keep writing. You’ll do good.”

And to my everlasting shock… I suddenly got a stunned silence and then applause. To be honest, I was… I was totally embarrassed. I’m… I’m not used to that. To be honest… I think that’s the first time something like that has ever happened to me.

And it was amazing. I literally don’t have the words to describe it. All I can hope is that it did impact someone. And I think… I really do think… that I did.

No, that’s wrong.

We did.

Fallout: Equestria Afterpanel

At the end of the panel, I suddenly grabbed the moderator reins from Heartshine and told everyone to give a round of applause to Somber. Of course, there was massive applause for him, and then (because I can), I asked for an even bigger round of applause for Heartshine since she is not only the Writing Track Lead, but also had to deal with the trauma of editing for Somber!

...she totally got more applause. :pinkiehappy:

After that, I struck up a conversation with one of the attendees about GoE, the future of the project and how I need to get my ass in gear. I chatted with a few other people… and to my shock, someone actually asked me to sign their physical copy of Fallout: Equestria! In fact, it may have been the same person who asked me to sign a poster last time!

Somber was definitely the rock star though. He had a massive crowd around him, but the best part is… he’s actually super humble about it. Never once does he come across as cocky or arrogant.

Somber’s good people.

I also got to meet Justice3442 during all of this time! He just had a Saturday badge, but it was great to shake his hand! I can confirm he is as crazy in real life as he is online. This encourages me greatly… though I don’t really know why.

“NovelCon”

(For the record, I didn’t come up with the name, but it was pointed out a few times that this night was best described by this name… please don’t hate me.)

After a short time, Ebon joined us to watch over the “Writer’s Meet and Greet” and casually mentioned that Mono and Adge were downstairs in the restaurant/bar. Well, I wanted to talk to both of them about the awesome question we got during the Shipping Panel, so I scampered downstairs…

Only to find what I described to you at the beginning of this entire adventure!

In case you forgot, here’s a quick recap:

On Saturday night, I went downstairs from the Writer’s Hangout to the restaurant/bar to chat with Mono and Adge. I come there to find a fair number of Jurists (Hap, Fourths, Jeryn… and a few other people I can’t remember right now) sitting around the table chatting with Loofa and Sylvian while Mono is “holding court” with Adge, Below_Depth, Sam Rose and their group.

Eventually, Albi, Corejo, RedSquirrel and a few others come down to join us. So do Swan and Autumn, along with Justice3442. I yank Adge over and introduce her to Albi (because Albi was nervous about meeting her, just like I had originally been terrified of even talking to Adge over Tumblr chat!) and I mention that Albi has always wanted his OC drawn (Little did I know that Ebon had set things in motion for that by telling Adge that earlier). Adge is super excited for the chance and they immediately go over to a table and Adge does her magic.

I remember stepping back from all of this… and just looking at all these people.

I’m pretty sure Below_Depth and Sam Rose are there because of Adge and she has a great community around her. I got to know Adge during SunLight Sliders 1. Mono—who I met at Babscon last year and instantly connected with—has been close to the Jurists forever, since Swan Song is such a key member of the Jurist group (Noble Jury is the name of fans of Austraeoh). Hap is an old-school Jurist, and the one behind the original Jurist Hoodie. Sylvan’s hanging out there because of Mono, of course. Loofa’s become a mainstay in both my server and Mono’s. I met Corejo and RedSquirrel last year at EFNW. Albi and I know Justice from his crazy Sunset stories. Albi I pretty much verbally dragged to this convention. Heartshine and Ebon are off together (I think) in another part of the con. Maybe they were having a date? I really hope so. (Okay, fine, Heart was doing FOE questions and Ebon was doing Iron Author, but they got together later that night and I like my idea of a secret date better so nyah!)

And I realize that the only reason these groups already had the bonds of friendships which they got to strengthen this time… well, I’m the common denominator.

After I watched the interplay between everyone for a while, I got a little overwhelmed, so I decided to check out and see how Adge and Albi were doing. They were just finishing his OC (seen above!) and then the funniest thing happened.

As soon as she was done, Albi scampered over to the middle of the group and did this diving slide onto that countertop you see above to show off his new OC to everyone who would look. I remember just standing and taking picture after picture of it.

I think about this time, I actually got properly introduced to Sam Rose, the one behind Motherly Scootaloo! I think we met briefly at BC, but I didn’t really register it? Thankfully, he took the time to set the record straight and tell me that Silent Ponyville is actually not an arc in Motherly Scootaloo!

...which means I can actually read the series! Yay!

I think about this time I got to chat with Below_Depth about how amazing their artwork for SunLight Sliders 2 was. I may have geeked out huge at both Adge and Below for their amazing work. And Adge even more considering I’ve seen how well she’s done from her struggle to get grayscale art done in time for SLS1 to doing a HUGE full-color spread for SLS2. It’s amazing to see this sort of development! I love it!

Let’s see… I remember Corejo buying Albi a drink (despite his numerous protests). This may have actually happened before the OC drawing, come to think of it. Nothing of serious note happened… save for maybe Albi doing that slide.

Loofa in Mono’s Iconic Pika Hat!

However, before too long, the Adge Crew decided it was time to settle back and relax with some Cards Against Humanity upstairs in their room, but before that happened, several people needed proof of Adge’s Smolness.

Proof was given in the form of pictures, which I’ve conveniently sorted by height!

Corejo and Adge!

Albi and Adge!

Myself and Adge!

Mono and Adge!

A little more Mono and Adge! (Because I can)

After they headed out, things shifted around a little. I’m pretty sure Albi needed to head home at that point, so I walked him out. Mono decided to go have fun with Funk with his artist friends. So, afterwards, we had Arc, Swan, Autumn, Jeryn, Loofa, Sylvian, Fourths, Hap, RedSquirrel and Corejo (though apparently the last two might have come back later?).

We somehow got on the topic of HiE stories, namely Project: Sunflower and Through the Well of Pirene, both of which I said were fantastic because of characters. A few people were really eager to hear my thoughts on Pirene (Jeryn, apparently). That was actually really fun. I think then things shifted to worldbuilding.

I remember only bits and pieces. I remember Sylvian and one other person chatting about how freaking awesome airships are. Sylvian and I had a great talk about that, including crew compliments, weapons designs and propulsion systems.

I, of course, had to share the Riftbreaker from the upcoming Skyworld story, And a Star To Steer Her By.

We talked about potential crew compliment for her, too. He said about a 100, which would probably be accurate if they were human. Just for the sake of the story though, it’ll probably be less. Maybe 40 max.

Sylvian and I talked a bit about Star Trek the Original Series… and I found out that he got to go on tour with Brandon Freaking Sanderson for when The Gathering Storm came out...

They also gave me a chance to actually read from My Kind of Crazy! I think we got on the topic when we were talking about characters and I went into the concept of Pinkie Pie and how she can be used really well or really poorly (even by the showrunners). No wait, we started with the idea of in-universe jokes and breaking the fourth wall!

Sunset’s expression fell into a flat stare and she cocked an eyebrow at her. “You told her I was a magical talking unicorn, didn’t you?”

“Nope!”

“Oh good.”

“I told her you were a magical talking pony. I didn’t get a chance to mention the fact that you were a unicorn.”

Sunset facepalmed.

“Pinkie!” Twilight waved her hands in the air, obviously exasperated—but she did that a lot. “You can’t just go around telling people that Sunset’s a magical talking pony!”

“But…” Pinkie frowned. “She is!”

“Guilty as charged,” Sunset said with a shrug and played a few chords that sounded suspiciously like that song everyone had sung in the cafeteria before the Fall Formal.

“How can you be so cavalier about this?” Twilight demanded, refocusing her annoyance on Sunset. “I mean, I’m already trying not to worry about getting locked away for having magic superpowers. I can’t even think about E.T. anymore!”

“Why?” Pinkie asked. “If you need to phone home, just use your cell.”

Sunset burst into laughter. Even Rarity giggled a little.

Twilight just glared at Pinkie. “Not what I meant!”

“I know!” Pinkie declared. “But it was still funny.”

I had a ton of fun reading this aloud and everyone else seemed to get a huge kick out of it, too. Then we kinda went back into character voices. I talked a bit about my experience with Spectrum of Grey and how each voice was hard. I think I happened to drop that I’d included the “Shining Oaks Library” in the story, too.

I also remember someone… maybe Hap?... not being familiar with “La Da Dee.” I was rather horrified by idea that someone hadn’t seen it yet, so I immediately pulled it up on my iPad and turned it on.

As expected, there were many tears. I still cry at the end of this.

I think I talked a little about what happened behind the scenes of SLS2?

And a few people commented on how I handled a few of the panels. It’s weird, but I got a lot of compliments about how I moderated panels. Which is weird. I just… did what felt right. I’m decent at watching a crowd and seeing when they’re disengaged or bored. You’ll never get everyone, of course, but if someone is playing on their phone or staring off into space, you can be pretty sure they aren’t engaged. If a lot of people are doing that (especially those who picked the front two rows), then something needs to get shaken up to engage them.

And I like engaging people! I like asking questions of the crowd. Getting raised hands of “How many people have been traumatized by Somber?” (yes, I actually asked that during the FO:E panel).

Let’s see… eventually, people decided to start heading out for the evening… no, wait. I think both RedSquirrel and Corejo needed forks for their recent leftovers… and RedSquirrel needed a microwave, so after some debate, I decided to go upstairs to the Staff Lounge on the Penthouse Suites floor. I acquired said forks and microwaved… whatever RedSquirrel was eating.

We stopped briefly by my room before going back downstairs to join the others with who was left. Corejo had finished his food with his hands making with a great joyous expression… and something happened that we all found utterly hysterical. Red or I made some crack at Corejo with Red there and got these pictures as a result of both of them actually falling to their knees in laughter…

Corejo, ladies and gentlemen

At least Red managed to stay upright…

The end of this turned out fairly quiet. People slowly migrated to their rooms and hopefully to sleep. Mono and Funk eventually wandered by (Mono wanted to chat if I was still up, apparently, but ended up too tired).

And at one point, we talked about Project Horizons… and about one of the things that happened to Blackjack. That eventually led to just Corejo and I talking at a small table in the solarium until nearly 3 AM at night as he described his plans for Compati and told me about Into the Dark.

There were some tough moments. Now, I know things about Compati that I’m not going to spoil for you. However, I don’t know if what we talked about is actually going to happen. But it got pretty serious.

The only catch was, by the time we cruised up to my room so I could get some rest (Corejo was crazy and totally awake apparently), I was so tired I went into Storyteller mode. At that point, Corejo had to stop me because that late in the night, I would have yammered on for hours.

...I get strange at night. Strang-er. Oh, shut up.

I conked out pretty fast.

Okay, that's it for Saturday's events. As you can see, it was pretty damn huge. If you have any special memories, please drop them in the comments and I'll see you tomorrow for Day 3 - Sunday!

You made it! Have some green and a cake.

The talk about airships and TOS was a whole lot of fun :D I don't get a lot of chances to just geek out about those topics!

Just wish I had realized how late we'd been talking and been able to get dinner, but it was worth it.

And now I really want to go read Fallout Equestria stories, because dangit I do like fallout but keep telling myself I'll read/listen to the stories later... I need to change this.

LOL dude I LOVE the pic you got of me during the IA. Showed my husband that, he liked it too.

These have been quite a fun read  Also, have never seen that 'La Da Dee' thing before. Enjoyed it! Probably going to watch it many more times tonight.

She totally is. There's about 6-7 pics of random people holding her in their arms just to prove it. It's amazing. (She's so adorsmol I can't handle it)

Which one were you?! I have so many people in those pics I can't possibly keep track of them all!

Also, have never seen that 'La Da Dee' thing before. Enjoyed it! Probably going to watch it many more times tonight.

GASP! YOU MUST WATCH IT UNTIL YOU'RE OUT OF TEARS!

Older chubby bear of a earth pony in the corner seat near the plug back row, with glasses on and the chromebook in front of me. .... well and I have a shirt on with Rescue Sunstreak on it :rainbowlaugh:

I also remember someone… maybe Hap?... not being familiar with “La Da Dee.” I was rather horrified by idea that someone hadn’t seen it yet, so I immediately pulled it up on my iPad and turned it on.

Yeah.

As expected, there were many tears. I still cry at the end of this.

Yeah.

Hahahaha, I read this in your voice. I sat next to you at several of the panels, and was in your group at the read-and-critique thing.

I have watched it many times! But I have not shed a tear (though some slightly watery eyes were experienced). It was very cute and very sweet though! And also extremely well-made.
