    Droppin' By

Hello, I was in the neighborhood and had just realized that my last blog post was a bit of a downer, given that it was around the time of my Grandma's passing and funeral. I think I oughta leave you folks with something a bit more upbeat or at least something neutral.

    And Now, A Newsletter

Huh, back in July I said I oughta talk more around here. It's now the day after Christmas and I have not, in fact, talked more around here.

So, I'll give you the rundown on what I've been up to since then. Warning, it gets a little long in talking about last summer's vacation and about a new fixation I have.

You know the drill, I give you the link to Tommy's blog, and I just show you pictures anyway, rendering the need to visit the site moot unless you want to read through my various comments of both the sane and insane variety.

Now...

It had to happen at some point.

Pineapple on pizza is the worst. Even when you pick it off, the pineapple lingers (I say this from experience, as my dad would ALWAYS order this kind of pizza (with ham, of course), and picking off the toppings never helped. I always wished he would just get cheese for once). Cheese could have a cupcake pizza, but pineapple is where he draws the line.

This is the reason why there's a significant age gap between the twins and Rocky Road.
Also, you wouldn't believe the trouble that trying to balance research between human NICUs and horse NICUs (yes, those exist) and twin issues and premature labor stuff gave me.

And here they are one year later.

Tomato got a giant cookie for his birthday. A couple certain party ponies set up a large pool of milk and then started a big cookie party.

And then the Anti-Milk League showed up.

This was meant to be a sincere present, but something about that cupcake seems off.

Have some adult Sugar Surprise and Curly Kale. The former's an inventor and the latter's a party pony.

I'm surprised no one asked about Nimbus' roommate earlier after that pegasus mentioned him during the whole Shipping Potion debacle. But, still, here he is, his name is Triage Tagger.

On April Fools' Day, after a very busy day where I only had time to draw in the evening:
"Happy April Fools Day!"

Tomato has no idea where this guy came from.

Couldn't have Tomato meeting Mudbriar without having Cheese meet him too.

Well... since at some point I am going to have to continue a certain wedding fic of mine, I had to decide on who Limestone and Maud's respective husbands were, or it was going to be awkward keeping those guys offscreen and ambiguous the entire time. So...

Well, I went full-on crackship for Limestone--I went with that Spearhead guy from "A Flurry of Emotions". I have no idea what it is, but something about the Choosing Stone pointing Limey to a guy that she'd think of as a doofus is hilarious, but also kind of sweet. I'll have to work out the story in my head, but for now, meet Granite Pie, Sandstorm, and Flint Arrowhead.

Maud and Mudbriar, because this ship is actually pretty cute. Here we have Rock Maple, Gravel Mulch, and Jet Black.

And for Marble... well, since I have said a whole lot that I was planning on Bluejinx having a thing with a Pie Sister for a long time, ever since The Rock Farmer's Daughters (didn't add that to the story because I only wanted to focus on one romance, and thus left that open), I decided, maybe he'd work with Marble. Part of Bluejinx's talent is communication, and he could find a way to appeal to her. It's another story to work out in my head.

And, those three foals are Jasper Stone, Crystal Clear, and Graphite Sketch.

As of now, all of the Pie Cousins are just drawn as foals because I have yet to decide their cutie marks and their ages relative to the CheesePie Foals.

Well, that's all for now. Have a nice day.

Hmm. In a world of sapient cows, I could see the Anti-Milk League being a thing. A thing that most cows would probably find more bizarre and foolish than welcome, but the AML just insists that they've internalized their oppression.

Also, I can't blame Tommy being wary of that cupcake. Eating your own head has to be pretty unsettling.

Yup. Pineapple pizza is gross. And believe me, I shared your pain--for years, my brother would insist that we slather our poor pizza in pineapple and bacon. It was downright traumatizing. :derpytongue2:
