Ash vs. The End of the End

I feel the need to speak about how differently the key events of Season 9 would play out in the Order-naries 'verse, but at the same time I don't feel up to making a proper story out of it. I'm going to split the difference with this blog, outlining what would happen without giving too much detail.

    And the magic goes on...

What a way to end the series. From a story-crafting standpoint, I have some complaints about how the final two-parter got rolling, and the resolution isn't how I'd have handled it.
The overall execution, however, and especially the final final episode, were wonderful.

    Still can't help myself.

I promised I'd focus on Pumahara after I finished Storm-chased, and I honestly have tried to get the next chapter done, but my silly, silly brain just can't leave the Order-naries 'verse slot on my WIP list empty for very long.

    Storm-chased complete and changed

I put up the last chapter of Order-naries: Storm-chased a couple days ago. After looking at it, though, I found myself dissatisfied with the last couple paragraphs, so I've gone back and replaced them with a new, better-paced scene. One that I think works better for Ash and Rarity meeting the dust has mostly settled.

The geniuses who brought us Myst, and thus indirectly made Aitran possible, have announced their newest game project: Firmament.

For any Aitran or Myst fans who are still actively following me · 2:04am Apr 10th, 2018

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1252280491/myst-25th-anniversary-collection/

Cyan's managed to pull together the rights to republish every game in the Myst series for the game's 25th anniversary, and they're doing a kickstarter to fund it. They've already reached their goal, so it's pretty much a guaranteed thing if you want to get your hands on the games in an actually playable state.

Now, I don't want to promise that this will lead to a fourth Aitran fic, but having a working copy of Myst IV might get me inspired...

And....already funded. I'm SOOOO gonna pledge it later.

Having a Windows 10 compatible Myst IV is definitely a plus.

Holy crap, Aitran! That was probably one of the first five mlp fics I read... what a blast from the past!

Well... damn. Myst was one of the first PC games I could call my own, and I've never played the sequels

Welp, there goes my money.

I remember the only Myst game I played was Riven, and only because of a garage sale having a (now too out of date) PC copy. LOVED that game, and watched LPs of several others, but it's been so long I've completely forgotten the answers to all the puzzles... as well as almost all of the puzzles themselves.
I actually thought I'd never get to play them all, but THIS! Ooh, I have GOT to make this the third project I've supported directly (the others being Yooka-Laylee and Zoombinis)!
