What Would You Do... · 4:18am Feb 15th, 2018

... if you decided or were commissioned to do a story based in my NegotiationsVerse universe? As I mentioned a long time ago, people are free to write stories based in the series. I am curious what you would write it in it you decided to do it or if you were commissioned to do so.

Never really came to my mind, but I got a few ideas swimming in my brain ocean.

1. In one of your stories, Spike soon outgrew his desire for Rarity. In addition, Rarity died as mentioned in one of your stories. I was thinking of a story where Spike goes to Rarity's grave to pay respect and blah blah blah. Something like that.

2. Hotline Miami, one of my favorite games, is generally about a large amount of Americans forced to put on animal masks and start killing Russian gangsters as an indirect way to oppress many Russians living in the USA. Most are blackmailed to do this but there are some who do it since they care for their country and despise the Russians living there. It's a little more complicated and complex than that, but hopefully that's good enough to digest.
Given that kind of context, I was thinking the same: Certain Ponies/Humans grow tired of the Humans/Ponies living in their world so they end up forming a secret group where they kill Humans/Ponies but cover it up as a vigilante movement by donning masks and attacking only Humans/Ponies that are involved in crime.

Damnit PonyStar, you got me talking now.

You see, the group, as mentioned in my previous comment, is called 50 Blessings and, in the public, is shown to be an organization that promotes American values and resistance against the Russians. I think in the main storyline in Hotline Miami, the Russians are bigger superpowers than Americans, so there's a good amount of Russians living in the USA, especially Miami. The founders of 50 Blessings decide to start this organization and make sure to ONLY recruit Americans with combat/military training. That way, they can contact them and force them to murder Russians. I guess Russian mobsters were chosen in an attempt to make it seem less of a racist attack and more of a vigilante strike.

As mentioned in my previous comment, a tiny idea like that is swimming in my mind. Except replace Americans with Humans and Russians with Ponies. Or vice-versa.

Either way, I'm busy with my own stuff right now to actually write any of these ideas. But if I had the time and the story juices are flooding in my head and with your help or expertise...

...maybe.

We'll see. I'm really busy myself these days

Yeah, tell me about it...

I would probably write out what happened to Luna. She's one of the few "interesting" characters left, and I would love to know exactly what happened when she died. The way she's usually portrayed is as a blood knight, which makes it interesting to wonder how she died, exactly.

The pov of a Human commander on the last few months of the war.

The Battle scenes leading up to the final attack on the bunker Applejack and Rainbow were in, or a long story on the human side of the war and the battles and events that not only lead up to it, but happened.

I deal with self inserts and AU's. The timeline may swerve at times, but will will end with the Ponies getting their flanks handed to them.

For Example: A human scientist, with some help from the Equestrian defectors, develop their own magical systems, or weapons (which would not be an excuse to use some Zampaktou, Stand or Death Weapon concepts I've been toying with :rainbowwild:). Another something I've been working on would be where RD and AJ are captured and "executed"; the execution would be faked the public, while behind clothes doors, they are given an inverted Conversion Serum(also concocted by said scientist). They'd then be given the task of helping both sides rebuild. This would a) allow them to finally understand human nature through immersion, and b) experience first hand the hatred that they themselves had helped propagate.

Of course, all of this would be non-canon. :twilightsheepish:

Following the cannon storyline however, I would like to explore how technology and science would progress, since with the addition of magic, all theoretical concepts and calculations could be made real, and what that would mean for society How would regular humans react to magical devices literally centuries ahead of what they had used a couple of decades ago? How would the ponies? What would these devices even look like and how would they function? I suppose I could have a child (human or Equine, I don't know) going through a typical day in this new technologically advanced world.

ive been working on a GSB/GTB universe for a mlp crossover soo prob have to do with that.. as for the plot... i have no idea

I would go a revival route and have my hero characters and their friends and allies do everything in their power to undo all the death and destruction that had happened because of the war, from time travel to wish granting, they'd rewrite the story of this world so that the sun never died and Celestia wouldn't be forced to make the choice that doomed Equestria and their allies to death as well as her own family and friends. So that there's a happy ending for everyone involved.

You'd be surprised what one can do when they are from a world that is basically Megaman Starforce meets Kingdom Hearts meets every universe ever through warp gates or dimensional portals and thus have access to any spell, weapon or item imaginable that can full on revive or heal others and frequent the Equestria Multiverse on a daily basis righting wrongs.

I'd also spin the idea that the reason the sun was dying in the first place was because a certain being of evil embodiment purposely put the sun in that state and waited to see what happened to Equestria all for a sick laugh cause he wanted a war to break out eventually, much like he did for other Equestrias where all the grimdark stuff happened or the tragic things like Nightmare Moon or Daybreaker happened, Discord's actions that got him turned to stone and the starvation of the changelings that led to all the invasions and Chrysalis going mad with power.

Fluttershy asks Discord to take her back to her homeboy dimension to see what has become of it. Since Discord's power is now limited, he can only manage a few minutes and only for the two of them. When they arrive, they find a world of perpetual darkness, with a few species still alive, but it's clear that they won't last much longer. Fluttershy then finds a small child, and when Discord days that's their time is up, Fluttershy tells him to take them with him instead of her, performing one final act of kindness, and allowing her to die in her home world.

I'd probably just like to see what life was like for Spike after he settled down and maybe had a few kids.

I'm more into writing battles and preludes to them, so either the invasion of Equestria, specifically Manehattan and the days before the invasion is set to begin, or the Battle of New York and how Shining Armor is killed, and the initial reaction Princess Cadence has, leading up to the event where she supposedly fired the Crystal Cannon. These stories would contain both a human and pony POV

Other ideas I have swimming in my head are a group of special forces working to extract high value individuals from deep inside Equestria, such as defectors from the Equestrian Royal Guard or POW's, or the events leading up to the launch of a nuclear missile towards the Crystal Empire.

Another very odd idea I've had based in the Negotiations-Verse involves a Marine in the aftermath of the Battle of New York and finding Thunderlane, one of the very few surviving ponies under some rubble or something. Instead of the Marine killing him on the spot, he takes them to his unit's medical camp and decides that he could be more useful alive than dead, despite a majority of his colleagues saying otherwise.

Some interrogating happens, one on one conversations, perspectives, grief stages, moments of sympathy and understanding as well as bonding, over a relatively long story.

Couple things lead to another and they end up falling for each other near the end of the war, at a time where the urge to wipe ponies off the planet are at an all time high.

Like I said, a very odd idea, but it's one that's been on my mind more than any other for some reason. Could be seen as a way to help human-pony relations heal and grow or something like that.

I woudl want to do an au

Maybe one with twilight remaining immortal but deciding to adopt a human orphaned by the war she took part in

I thought about maybe writing a story showing what happened to the rest of the world in the scant few years they had left after Equestria vanished.

I'd like to. But I need a good idea first.
