Youtube basically is... being an ass, what does that mean for me? Nothing. I'm not a youtuber, I watch a lot of youtube, I don't create stuff on youtube.
But for the fimfiction group Barcast... well it means a lot. They're a bunch of bronies who interview authors, play games, stream while drunk, and do silly stuff.
Issue is, their youtube channel, which wasn't that big in the first place, is going to be making zilch, because youtube decided... "Hey, we're going to really regulate (screw over) small creators. Anybody who doesn't have 1000 subscribers and a certain amount of views per 12 months is going to lose ALL youtube revenue."
This really sucks, what sucks even more is that their money goes to charity, and what sucks even more is that they have a lot of cool interviews. They just did one with Wanderer D, and even better, you can request them to interview your favorite authors!. AKA, you can totally ask me to get grilled (what.... i wanna be interviewed and talk about writing, and this is my blog. I get to do what I want :P )
But you don't even have to ask the to interview me, get some other great authors like Georg to be interviewed, or Rune Soldier Dan and Novel Idea. They haven't been on the show and they are great authors. Then you can subscribe, wait for their interview to show up, and save their youtube channel while doing so :)
That's all for today folks.
Hey... thanks for posting this, it definitely means a lot to me. We've also interviewed Seth from EQD and a voice actor from the show recently, so we were really excited at how things were picking up. Every subscribe helps. So sincerely. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
4776130 Welcome! :) I'd beg to be interviewed, but ah well, that's an audience choice.
youtube lost my support long ago with that premium youtube crap...
they have been screwing people over for years now. they let greed and popularity go to their heads. and my friend got a copyright strike on his channel during the upload period for a vid. it went live with the strike. youtube needs to get there head out their plots and get back to what they USED to do: making a good multi-media platform!
