    Hello gamers

I have been so quiet lately because I have been hard at work (also, I have some important happenings irrelevant to this blog) on some updates. One of those is a brand spankin' new story for Mother's Day. It has been in the works for a few years now. That's right, ya boi wrote a normal Mother's Day story. Probably.

    Catch the SFW flavor here:

    Reader interaction poll!

    Please check it out here.

Since comments are a little scarce and I’m new to long-form mature fiction, I wanted to do a quick survey. It’s all anonymous but it’s going to be very helpful because of the content slated to appear in the next few chapters. Your votes will help me gauge reader feelings and the intensity of how graphic things will be.

    Pretty Pony Poems

Lately, I have been going through various complete entries in Missing Pages that were too short to publish. I decided that "Just Weep" shouldn't be left to gather dust there. I've since published it as its own story with the addition of eight new poems about Celestia (and Luna) so that it is long enough to count as a one-shot according to the site's minimum wordcount rule. If you read the

    ICE STAR WROTE HORSE SEX

    WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?

Yes. I did. Two horses having normal horse sex. It's a completely serious story, but I decided to go out of my usual skill area for April Fool's Day. If you've been following Stay Golden and you want a quick peek of what's to come, this story is for you.

It's also getting a lotta downvotes for not being porn. RIP in pepperoni.

I had a few chapters of backlog left. Or, a modest update.

I started catching up on what I could yesterday when I saw the crazy amount of notifications I had accumulated. It's certainly going to take me a while and then some to read all of the stories that were published recently. I'm not doing too good; I'll have a blog about that sooner or later. Until then, know that I have some updates for Marigold's story that have been edited and are waiting for

Things You Should Read that I Didn't Write (Shocker): Coffee Edition! · 2:24am Jan 15th, 2018

This is almost a review. It's me telling you to read things and why; that's certainly close enough. Why did I chose the subject of coffee? Well, other than the fact that it is relevant to the things I shall be hurling at you, it is something that people like, apparently.

I do not like coffee. Dunno why. I just don't. I've had a few variations of it before, and things that are coffee flavored, but the closest I've come to 'liking' coffee would be the few instances where I've had an Iced Capp from Tim Horton's filled with more cream than coffee so it tastes far more like a milkshake than coffee. Obviously, I would not want to have this every day because it would kill me. (And the fact that I'm too mean to be a Canadian who lives among Timmies as monkeys do trees should be fairly obvious.)

So what do I want you to read? Why not look below!

First, I'd like to suggest that you take a look at the works of CoffeeBean! Coffee has been around for a few years, and has written quite a few stories. There's adventure, romance, slice of life, and lots about the princesses! Of their work, there's plenty of good choices to suggest, like Cadance and Luna fluff, and well-written OC/canon romance.

However, the story I really want to toss your way the most is 'Life in Boxes', CoffeeBean's latest story. It's a suspenseful, mysterious, dark/drama, with a few touches of horror that focuses on the still-newly returned Luna investigating some strange nightmares and even stranger, creepy psych wards. A colorful cast of OCs, great dialogue, and vivid settings help guide this particularly stellar example of Luna on her quest. This unique story is totally worth your time. Also, I was able to get my filthy hands all over it as a prereader.

TLife In Boxes
Luna has learned a great many things since her return, but a coincidental meeting with a young mare in the dead of night leads her down a long, dark road which has been purposefully shunned away from the world. Her hope; shed light upon it.

Next up, the author Not Enough Coffee is worth your time too. Since they've only written three stories, there's none in particular to link, but suffice to say they have a very clear writing style, good sense of story, and pleasant pacing. They also have some great taste in horsewords.

Last up is a coffee-themed story. Just like shitty coffee, shitty stories about the princesses can be nearly a dime a dozen, and that's especially true for shitty comedies about people who give zero fucks about their character, are both hilariously and terribly unable to even handle and grasp some kind of character for them, and aren't just full of groan worthy jokes about the Worf Effect or the same tired tropes that the story only highlights as it gloats from the mainstream feature box.

Here is Awful Lot of Coffee in Equestria, or ALCE as I'll be calling it. Fuck that, I'm calling it Alice because 'ALCE' is as visually stupid as a family photo.

Alice is a very nice piece of satire done well. It includes sarcasm, character development, tidbits of worldbuilding (sometimes), and a quirky cast of characters. The author, somehow, is not Ice Star, and perhaps this is the greatest mystery of them all.

Alice is filled with wholesome banter, an extremely wholesome Celestia, and Cadance doing heavily implied wholesome drug use. (It's also part of what started my Stonerdance gag, Norris is totally the dude who started it, my Cadance should more properly be known as Canadance, because she's seriously not the original Stonerdance.)

It's a comedy that is actually funny, which is something that is downright shocking on this site, and it is most certainly worth a read through, even just for a few chapters.

TAwful Lot of Coffee in Equestria
A collection of Celestia, Luna, and Cadance's cynical conversations over coffee.

While reading these coffee-related stories and users and shit is all fine and dandy, don't ever forget, that Ice Star is also a self-centered prick.

After all, how can this be a story suggestion blog without...

Funny, I too read and enjoy Awful Lot of Coffee in Equestria. That story's given me some good chuckles over the years.
Also, you should correct your thingy on me. I've only been here for a little over a year and a half, so it's not technically 'years'.
I can nitpick too, lol.

Anyway, thanks for the recommendation, and I'm glad you've liked this story of mine thus far.
No worries, folks, no bias here because of Ice's pre-reader status! :twilightblush:

No bias, eh? :O

But let the time paradox be, it's not hurting anyone.

I have been summoned. Wait, there's another coffee user on here? Son of a bitch, and here I thought my ego was gonna be stroked.

Edit: Now that I actually read the blog, and not skimmed, I must say my ego feels great. Thanks for the kind words. Though, I'd personally recommend reading Like all the Other Kids the most, since it was my most popular fic thus far.

Thanks for the rec.

And thanks for helping expand the Stonerdance Extended Cinematic Universe
