THIS fuckin' shit.
I have yet to clear this bullshit mission. Since it's been SO LONG since I posted a video, I thought I'd at least post one of my fails at this thing to illustrate why it's taking so long.
Basically, you have to beat 20 enemies before either Gohan or Krillin get themselves KOed. And they WILL get themselves KOed. Because they're stupid and they FREQUENTLY wander off on their own and when the camera locks you into fighting one dude and your fight gets away from THEIR fight? You lose them and it takes FOREVER to find them again.
Also, for some reason, in THIS particular playthrough, Gohan wandered off somewhere by himself. Krillin was right fucking there with me almost the whole third phase. I don't know WHERE the hell Gohan went. Usually they stick together.
Man, I hate this fuckin' mission.
Also, you're stuck in Ginyu's body for this whole damn thing.
To be fair, escort missions in video games are always implemented terribly. This seems to be one of them that was implemented worse.
I hate it when you have to keep dumb NPC's alive. Especially when they run right into landmines or off to fight the toughest, biggest group of enemies all by themselves. Doesn't seem like you can do it here, but sometimes I just try to trap them in rooms. In some of the Elder Scrolls games I even used fear or fatigue to make them run away or stay put.
Urrgh... this was how NOT to do an escort mission... not to mention the good Captain's skill set is mediocre at best. I found spamming the "Milky Cannon" the best strategy.
Oh yes, this mission! I hated it with a firey passion, it seems to take a good deal of sheer dumb luck for you to beat it! And I'm sorry to say, some of the parallel quests have escort missions as requirements to complete them or unlock the Ultimate Finish conditions.

I still have nightmares about the Super Buu escort PQ.... *shudder*
4774275 Oh yes, I absolutely hated that one! For whatever reason, even though it returned for Xenoverse 2, it wasn't as bad, probably because they patched the annoying A.I. mechanics, so your partner A.I. isn't a complete sitting duck and doesn't need babysitting all the time anymore (plus the enemy stops with the constant spamming).

Too right, XV2 was a far smoother ride. I know Goku and Gohan are supposed to be the strongest around, but both of them simultaneously using the Super Kamehameha move was just unfair. And let's not start on Vegerot...
